Preferred Annual Pass - AAA South -Buy 1 year, Get 2nd year FREE!

I don't know, discounts tied to McDonalds or Coke purchase maybe...Anything to snag another demographic. That's how we got our Power Pass with a $20 discount so there is precedent.

I want to get one of these but they won't send them thru the mail and we won't be getting down there until October.....! :confused3

Well, we just bought our 4 passes from AAA :cool1:

Costco returned the 4 we purchased thru them no problem :thumbsup2

The passes were 174.95 plus tax at the AAA office.

So what is it, about $60.00 to join AAA? That cost divided up for the 4 tickets I need are probably worth it.

I was just looking thru a brochure I picked up at AAA yesterday and it said go to www.aaa.com/fun to purchase tickets online. It does have the Preferred Annual Pass listed with the 2nd year free. Here's a direct link to the webpage Universal's are on:
http://www.aaasouth.com/shoppingcartsearch.asp?SEARCHTYPE=TIS&ItemCategories=01&locationids=42605

I'm not sure what shipping would be

It also has an order by phone option: Prefer to order tickets by phone? Call us at 1-877-537-7283

Hopefully those that don't live in the areas where they sell these could still take advantage of this :sunny:

Doesn't USF history teach us that we'll probably see this discount offered in other ways too in the furure?

Not always. This deal wasn't around last year, and before that, it was Burger King that did the buy one/get one year free. So you never know when this deal will come back. The good news about this offer, is that it runs thru the summer. Usually, they come out early in the year.
AAA is kicking butt. They have the best discounts for the onsite hotels, and now this.

Thanks for the links.....the first screen of both wants a zip code put in. After that screen, it just goes to the main screen. What "words" did you use in the search to come up with the tickets/passes? TIA :goodvibes

ETA: Hmmmmm.....the zip code you put in makes a difference in what you are shown at the site!

Weluvpluto, what zip code did you put in at the site? TIA :3dglasses

Ok, I see..... if I put in my local zip code, I get a main page that does not say anything about USO.

If I put the zip code 32820 in on both links, the first one goes to an "attraction & tickets" page and the second one goes directly to a "ticket details" page. Thanks, Weluvpluto!! :cheer2:

The site lists the shipping as:

U.S.P.S Priority Mail w/Delivery Confirmation 3-5 Day Average $4.05
DHL 2nd Day $5.36
U.S.P.S Priority Mail w/Signature Confirmation 3-5 Day Average $5.40
DHL Next Day $8.25

Can you get this deal if you are an AAA member, but not an AAA South member?

::yes:: I have purchased USO tickets from southern AAA offices and have not had a problem at all. The northwest AAA offices act like they have never even heard of USO when you ask about ticket specials! :furious:

OT: I just have to ask: Cheryl, how did you make your flying Tink? Sooooo cute!!

Hi guys...

I used the zip provided but, the site didn't recognize my (Yankee LOL) AAA sign-on info.

I'm so confused, my head hurts.
Figure we could sneak quite a few trips out of these babies:banana: if the boss (DH) gives me the green light.

There's nothing to it. Details are posted. You just have to buy them at a AAA south location.

Anyone (non-southern AAA) have any luck using the phone number to order vouchers ahead of time?

Would prefer to detouring to AAA office. If they're anything like our lousy local one, they'll be out of tickets.

I was able to use the link provided by weluvpluto in Post #25 to order these and I'm in Chicago. Placed the order Wednesday and had the tickets in hand today. WOOHOOO!!!!!! Thanks so much for posting this info.

thanks for the info..........i was going to upgrade my 5 day pass to an ap.

maybe this deal with AAA is sweeter.....

Can anybody tell me what the Full Cost, including the taxes would be?

I have a friend from FLA who will purchase but don't know what the tax is? :confused3 :confused3

Thanks in Advance!

My invoice lists tax of $63.16 (for four passes), so it should be $15.79 tax for each pass. I'm not an AAA member so I paid $179.95 for each pass (AAA members save $5 on each pass) + $15.79 tax for a total of $195.74 for each pass (plus $5.40 for shipping and $2 for handling which you may avoid if you pick up the passes in person).

OK, I'm still confused...You DON'T have to be a AAA member to get the 2 years for 1 deal, you only get an additional $5.00 discount if you are a member. Is this right?
