Predictions on Frozen Ride

I am hoping it will be wheelchair accessible like IASW and Jungle Cruise. If not then at least there will be one more space on the ride instead of me boo hoo. I can't do POC. I can't climb in the boat it has no little door!

Like others, I was never thrilled that they were making Norway into Frozenland. They could have updated the Norway ride and movie and have it narrated / hosted by Frozen characters and made it as if they were from a neighboring country. I like the Disney character overlay in Mexico because it is still about Mexico, even though I preferred the original. If Frozen doesn't pay tribute to Norway it really doesn't belong there.

My prediction is it will will the same ride from Maelstrom just witg Frozen now. Theres no way they had time to built an entirely new track and everything. This ride will be immensely overhyped and hopefully it will shorten wait times and soarin and test track lol i will ride it IF i can get a fast pass for it. Not waiting in what is likely to be the ridiculously long lines though

While this is technically an overlay as far as the ride goes, it will be a new ride experience for guests. Considering the popularity of this IP and the fact that new does not wear off quickly at WDW, this ride will be popular for a long time. Not meant to be an Eticket but I'm sure there will be some impressive elements to this ride.

As a kid, Maelstrom was neat because it was the ONLY ride in that long boring trek around World Showcase. More shops and movies ..zzzz .. wait? An actual ride? In a boat? With a drop? Sign me up! I've been bored all afternoon.

But as an adult, I was never impressed with Maelstrom. It is a short dark ride ... cool the first time through as a kid and a fun nostalgia trip the other times through.(Like most of the old rides at Epcot).

In a park with so little attractions for little kids it will be a BIG draw to families of toddlers and young elementary age children. It will also probably get those families into the World Showcase (where they may have skipped it before).

I know after skipping Epcot the last two trips with my young toddler son, that I would consider Epcot now IF I could get a Fast Pass for it.

The problem is that Epcot STILL isn't that family friendly .. because the only good attractions (Frozen, TT, Soaring) are Tier 1. So these families will have to suffer through potentially long wait times for the two they don't get (which is not family friendly).

I think that first ride is going to be emotion filled for me. I loved Maelstrom! I love Frozen!

I predict going up the hill I'm going to hear, "You are not the first to pass this way." Whether the audio is there or not, I think my subconscious will take hold!

As for Zero or Hero, I'm a Frozen fan, it's going to be a Hero for me!

This ride is too short and poorly located to be a hero. How good it actually is time will tell.

I'm assuming it'll be a hit with little girls and their parents. Most others will ride once and pass from then on.

I think it will be in the middle. Very very popular and I am eager to ride it. I just wished the boat ride was longer. Wasn't Malestrom just around 2 1/2 minutes?

Was the Mexico boat ride not around then?

Another question for all... Sorry, I'm sure this has probably been asked a zillion times before, but since this ride is in the World Showcase, will it be accessible at rope drop, or at 11am when the WS opend?

It's opening at 9.

Closer to a zero. This is a band-aid ride in a park that desperately needs more attention. The ride will be too generic and short to justify the long line. I expect more complaints for Frozen than 7DMT, however I also expect the ride to stay extremely crowded for quite some time just based on the state of the park. I also expect this ride will be a must for my daughter so I really have no choice.

Hey ------ I completely forgot about the "pre queque show" at Frozen!!! I hope it's amazing as the many rides/attractions are at WDW, which at times, I love to wait in lines (as long it's 30 minutes are less).

I predict that it's going to be crowded. And that a lot of people are going to complain how they miss Maelstrom.
I went on Maelstrom once. I didn't see the appeal, it started kind of cool, but then it got boring. And, if I recall correctly, then we were held captive outside the theater, before the doors opened, and we could then avoid the tourism movie.
People like to complain that this changes the whole meaning of WS. Epcot was not what Walt imagined. But it's still been there for 35 years.

A zero for us since we loath Frozen. Truly Disney's worst amimated film...in our opinion. But the ride will be stupid popular for many years. A slow loading one too. No Mystic Manor thee.

My prediction is that will be very similar to the Little Mermaid Under the Sea ride in MK - a cute retelling of the movie except in a boat instead of a clamshell.
