Predators Tour

Has anyone done the backstage predators tour lately? My DD is obsessed with killer whales and I thought this might be a good experience for her since you get to go backstage in Shamu stadium. I was just wondering if anyone had done this tour and if so how much time do you get to spend with the killer whales?

I went on this tour. It's the least favorite out of all of the 3 behind the scenes tours I've been on. You stand about 10-20 feet away from the killer whale tank as the tour guide gives a spiel about everything and anything about killer whales. Then you move onto the shark area where you get to pet a shark. It isn't Jaws, but a tiny shark. Then you get to see the Shark Encounter tank from above. You also get to walk by a part of Kraken unseen by the general guests.

Thanks for the info Barry. I'll have to decide if I want to try this or not. Like I said before, DD (8yo) is so obsessed with killer whales and I just wish there was something where she could spend more time around them. This is how bad she is, she watches Free Willy every night before she goes to bed. She has done this since she was 3yo. That's a lot of Free Willy.

I would recommend the "Dine with Shamu" dinner. It is a little pricey but you get to sit very close to the Killer whales while eating and it is definitely closer than you get on the predators tour. I liked the tour but it mostly focuses on sharks not the whales.

We are already set up for the "Dine with Shamu". We have done this in San Antonio and San Diego so now we have to try Orlando. DD loves killer whales so much I was just trying to find a way to get her a little more interaction with them. Thanks for the information, now I know this is not really the tour I was looking for.
