Precharge for meals when on the dining plan

Last week I made a reservation for the Hoop Dee doo revue on the dining plan. I know there is a charge if I do not show up. But I noticed on my bank statement today that the $407 charge was already taken out of my account. Is this right? I am considering cancelling because I am not comfortable paying that much for a meal when I am on the dining plan and my trip is five months away.

If you made the ADR online, did you associate your Dining Plan to your booking? You should not have to pay anything for those pre-paid places (CRT, SOA, HDDR, MBB) if you associated the DP.

Or, if you made the ADR on the phone, you may have had an agent who did not know what they were doing.

I would call dining and talk to them.

Thank you! I made it on the phone but I am going to call now. This is my first time using the dining plan and I actually got it free so I thought it would be a good time to try a dinner show out since we have not done one before. But when I saw the charge on my account I was like no way that can't be right.

I just got off the phone and they said whoever booked it did not even book it under my reservation number. They also booked category one seating which is not allowed on the dining plan. After the cancelled it there are no more available reservations for the entire stay we are there. So disappointing

Use the online system and keep checking - there will be cancellations, maybe you can snag one.

I'm sorry that you are having to deal with this situation...not good when you get that kind of unexpected charge on your CC only to solve that problem, creating another problem altogether

I really do think you need to keep checking back for cancellations...I really hope you manage to get an ADR

cat 1 is allowed on the dining plan for the last show of the night (9:30pm). The reps seem to not know this even though it is clearly stated online.

I would book it yourself online. No need to call the dining line to make ADRs. It's normally best to take care of this stuff yourself so you can see it's done right.
