I'm currently working on putting together by budget for 2015, that includes our 2015 Disney vacation.

I'm curious how much do other people pad the current vacation prices in percentage to budget for a vacation for the next year.

I'm planning for a 10% increase in price from this year to next year for a total package, do you guys think i'm over projecting?

And yes i realize i misspelled the title....i wish you could go back and edit that....boo

I generally figure 10-15% to cover all my direct Disney costs, flights, airport parking, food, and boarding for animals while we are away. I figure it's always better to over budget and have the money available, than to under budget and not be able to go or have to cut out things you wanted to do or ADRs.

Those are my thoughts as well, I think 10% is probably going to be more on the high end, but I'm going to shoot for that. If its only a 5% increase, then that's me more money to spend at Disney.

We booked a FD package in late Oct 2013 for January 2014. We booked thee same exact package in May 2014 for September 2014. There was slightly more than a 9% price increase.

Of course this increase would depend on your circumstances, what deal you had an what deal you will be getting. The configuration of your party probably makes a difference. We are two adults and we end up paying more per person than say a family of 4 with kids.

Right now I'm considering "worst case scenario". I'm pricing rack rate to rack rate and increasing 10% off of rack. I've got a pretty good feeling I'll get some kind of discount.

Just in case we don't, I'm planning this so we don't have to cancel our trip.
