Pre-tripping at 365 days out...here goes nothing!

So yes, my trip is not until NEXT October However, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the World and I know how important planning is so here I am! Oh and my family is pretty much sick of hearing me talk about this trip This is my first ever pre-trip so please bear with me and if I am too long winded or post too many pictures just stop me at any time, I will NOT be offended

THE CAST

ME: I'm 25, soon to be 26 and am happily married to the most wonderful man I have ever met. We have been married just over a year and so far so good I am a TOTAL Disneyaholic and that goodness for the DIS boards!

DH (26): Is not the Disneyaholic I am but he is warming up to it. He better, since in September I convinced him we NEEDED to buy into the DVC.

The other cast members are my DDad, DStepMom (DSM), DBro and DSis. DDad has not been to the World in quite some time, DSM I have no idea if she has been and DBro and DSis this will be their FIRST EVER TRIP I am beyond excited to be able to experience that with them.

So that is the "who". Now for the "when" and "where".

We had originally planned to hit the World December '08 because I have never been at Christmas. However, DSM owns a store and therefore Christmas is out. If I can convince DH we need to do a short 3 day trip during Christmas that would be great but I will cross that bridge when I get there So ok Christmas is out. How about October? DH and I love Disney in October AND we have never been to MNSSHP and hear it is a lot of fun. Does October 10-17th work for everyone? Yes? Ok! Great! Dad wants to know why we are discussing Disney plans when it is a year away. Oh Dad, you have no idea

Insert side story here: Last week I go to see DFamily and they are talking about how their neighbors left for the World last week and were unable to get any dining reservations. DDad says "Did you know you can book dining reservations 6 months in advance!?" Yes Dad, this is why I insist we plan so early! Ah to be so sweet and naive

Where was I? Ah yes, on to the "where". As previously mentioned, DH and I just purchased into the DVC last month. Our home resort is Saratoga Springs so we will book a 2br there for October 10-17th once my 11 month booking window opens on November 17th. Then I decided as a treat for DH we will also book a studio at BWV for just he and I from the 10th-12th (his bday is the 11th and we LOVE Jellyrolls!). DDad and fam will check into Saratoga on the 10th and we will join them there on the 12th. As of now DH and I are only staying until the 15th but we will see if I can change that DDad may decide they want to extend past the 17th and that is fine as long as I have the points for them to do so. Having the DVC and being able to say "hey dad come stay at our home resort and you don't have to pay for it" is one thing I am extra excited about

you are off to a wonderful start! 1st time i ever got in on post #1....love the family pix and dbro & dsis are too too cute...have you checked out the dissign boards on here? thye have soem wonderful people hwo will personalize designs and you save to computer and print to iorn on shirts and such for your trip! they are really cool,dd and i are doing outfits { lots of ideas on here for custom/boutique clothes for kids] for each park and/or dining plan....like dgs will have a goofy shirt for goofy at liberty tree tavern and dgs has a cinderella dress to wear to eat lunch at the royal tale1 soem days they will have 2 outfits...everyone htinks we are crazy! no idea why...the dissign boards are so fun,check it out for surprises for the lil one...hey i am even wearing some!

Thanks DISNEYJAZZ for my first reply and for the wonderful ideas! I will definitely be checking out the boards for these personalized designs, I know DBro and DSis would get a real kick out of matching shirts to wear to WDW

Inevitably I am going to miscalculate just how many times I have been to WDW. I know I went when I ws 4 but I don't remember much, except for my picture of me and Pooh Then we went again I believe when I was in 6th grade and again in 8th. My 8th grade trip we stayed at Dixie Landings and it will always be Dixie Landings in my heart. I think that was the first time we stayed on Disney property. Then junior year of college mom took us during Thanksgiving and again we stayed off-site. Senior year I went with a bunch of my sorority sisters for spring break and it was a blast.

I have managed to drag DH to WDW twice in the last year Last October we went with my bff and her bf and stayed at Coronado Springs.

Here are the 4 of us at Epcot. We were F&W virgins and loved every minute of it!

Then I convinced DH that we needed to go back for a quickie trip over labor day weekend this year. DH is currently training for work in GA so I flew in and he drove down. We again stayed at Coronado because we love it and because all of the values were sold out

Since we only had 2 days for parks we had to make the crucial decision of which parks to do. Clearly it wasn't that hard...MK has the castle and MGM has ToT. The trip was VERY commando and I am excited for our 1st trip home next October to have fun and take it slow.

Up next: Tentative plans for ADRs (for which I will need lots of help and suggestions!)
