Pre-Trip Rituals! Psyching me up to go!

What things do you and your family do right before a trip to get psyched up? I know I'm going to watch all my favorite disney movies and read my guidebook again !

We've been reading Disney books to DS (4) for about a month already, mixed in with reading the Disney For Kids By Kids. We're also buying or renting any and every Disney movie for he and DD (8). Me... I just sit here reading about everyone else's trips and tips.

You mean you need to get Psyched Up? OMGosh! Just knowing that I am going to Disney World is like the best thing in the world.

I get myself and my family even more excited about Disney (if that's at all possible) is by giving the boys a chance to earn Disney Dollars for chores and such. Also, I sit down with the boys and discuss our plans - what they want to do, see, experience. Also, If there's any Disney World shows playing on TLC and watching the Disney Planning Video!!!!

I am watching the movies to get my Disney "fix" while DH is so greedily on the computer(lol) when I could be online checking out the DIS boards..hahhaha......read books on bus on the way to work and at my lunch break,,yeah,,I got it bad..............

Sounds good! I don't need to get any more psyched up, I'm already very excited ! I'm just wondering what other things families do Can't wait, last time i went it was the 25th anniversary and the castle was pink. i want to see it normal this time . I don't get how it was 25 a few years ago and now its 50 I guess maybe one was just for disneyworld and this one is for disney everything? idk. thanks guys!

The 25th anniversary was for WDW. This year, the 50th celebration is for Disney Land, but all parks are celebrating it around the world.

Sometimes I'll watch the past Walt Disney World Vaction videos that you can order. I order (free) one every other year, or when there's somthing special going on like the 25th Anniversary, Millenium Celebration, etc.
