Since I've spent more of my free time going through the boards gathering information for our trip than just about doing anything else, DH might be right...so I decided that instead of just reading everyone else's tips and details, I'd join in. We've only been married 2 years and gone to WDW twice and DL once already, so this will be our second trip to DL. DH is going to a conference at the Disneyland Hotel, and I get to come along!

I am not usually the type to plan every little thing down to the detail, but I tend to do that with Disney; I guess because there are so many magical details that I feel that if I don't do a good amount of planning, I might miss them. The boards have been great for learning all kinds of "secrets." Also, I hate lines for attractions, so I want to at least plan our mornings well so that we can experience a lot of rides before my husband has to leave to go to the conference. I figure I can enjoy the parks by myself in the afternoon and pick up fastpasses for when he comes back in the evening. Also, I don't want 2 hour waits for dinner, and since he gets his meals paid for, we are planning to splurge a bit and go to some of the nicer restaurants, which require reservations.

Sunday
2pm- Arrive, get rental car
3pm- Check in, unpack, explore hotel
(we are requesting the 14th Floor of the Wonder Tower because it has full balconies & it's supposed to be a more quiet building- DH can't sleep well if there's noise all night, and Wed. & Thurs. are both Grad Nights so we didn't want a park view)
6:30- Dinner at Napa Rose

Monday
Morning- Going to The Price is Right!
Afternoon- Beach
8:45- Dinner at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion

Tuesday
6:15 Arrive at Gates
Eat Breakfast in Line

12:20 Lunch- Orleans Café
1:30 Nap at Hotel

I spared you the minute by minute planning of which rides I plan to do in the mornings each day, but let me know what you think.

Looks great! :cool1:

Check out mine & gimme any suggestions if you have 'em!

One question though- how will you FP two rides within the same hour? I thought you were only allowed 1 FP at a time and the next one didn't open up until the window opened for the 1st?

Hi, what dates are you going?

Good question. That was my first thought. Looks good. Have fun and don'f worry about being obsessed because you aren't alone.

From what I have read, the extremely popular attractions like Splash and Space Mtn. will often have return times 45 minutes later first thing in the morning, so you can get another Fastpass once that window opens. This is not a sure thing, so I'm not planning on it. However, Roger Rabbit's Toontown Spin is disconnected, so you can get this FP at ANY time, and it doesn't affect when you can get other FP tickets in the park. Also, after 10am, my DH will be at his conference, so I am going to collect FP tickets while he's gone. California Adventure and Disneyland are not connected on the FP system, so I plan to hop between parks to pick up Fastpasses. It may be a lot of walking, but I don't mind because it means that DH and I will be able to go on all the major rides in the evening together without huge waits. (In case you didn't know, you can use your FP anytime after the window listed on your pass, just not before).

Hi, how early do you have to be inline for the Price Is Right?

I'm not sure, but we are getting there around 4am because that's what my mother-in-law says is the thing to do. They give out tickets at 6am that hold your place in line so you can leave and get breakfast, etc. You just have to be back by 8am to be admitted and go through the interview, etc. before the filming. We really want to go, so we'd rather get there a little early than drive up to LA a little later just to miss the cutoff because they give out more tickets than they have seats. If you're planning on going, I'll let you know how it goes next week.

That's wonderful. Have a great time!

Hey thanks! I only knew about using the FP's later than the window- not about the disconnected ride and the shorter return times. You rock!

We are going June 8th to June 13th-- next week! I am so excited!

Wow! Only 5 days AND The Price Is Right?! That's awesome! Have fun! :cool1:
