Pre-Trip report Jan 28-Feb 02

So after reading all these trip reports for months and months I finally decided to start on of my own!

The cast consist of:
Me-(Sara) 22 yr old Loves anything Disney

Dh-(Angel) 25 yrs old.. Doesnt love Disney as much as me.. But goes just to
see me and daughter Happy!

DD-(Devin) 2 yrs old.. Loves all the Princesses and Minne mouse!

As a kid I have been to DisneyLand many times.. As for Dh.. He grew up in California and has never been untill we went as a family. This will be DD's third time visiting Disneyland. Coming all the way from Hawaii Dh says that way to much The two prior times we visited in April when crowd were at the fullest and lines were long! So I am hoping this time we picked a good time and crowds will be minimized.

So we have all our reservations and are ready to go!! We leave on the 18 to visit my in-laws for 5 days, than 5 days of snow at big bear and Finally Disneyland from Jan 28-Feb 02. We will be staying at the Tropicana. A new experience as we stayed at the Annabella the two prior times.. but wanted one closer with a shorter walk.

So I figured I wouldnt plan too much for our days.. Just go with the flow.. With a two year old I cant expect to stick to a strict plan.. But i made two character dining reservations:
Tuesday Feb 29- 9:30 PS at Minnie and Friends
&
Wed. Feb 30- 3:00 PS at Ariels Grotto!

Last year she was a little eery of all the characters.. But how she has grown up in one year! I know this time she is going to love them!

2 times already and she's only 2! And you live in Hawaii? Wow. Don't tell your hubby this, but that's the rate we were at until September and then December...now it's been 4 visits and DS is 3. And we plan to go for his 4th birthday, too. It's a slippery slope, going often...the more times you go with a little one, the more they like it, the more they like it, the more you want to go!

I can't wait to hear how the trip goes!

This will be Devin's third time and DH says we cant go to Disneyland every year! I guess I should just be thankful we get to go as often as we do coming all the way from hawaii! I mean his brothers live in Cali.. with daughters ages 4 & 2 who have never been there yet. So I am grateful that Hubbys a hard working electrcian and can support me and DD's disney addiction!!

We will be at disneyland the same days. Staying at the Carousel Inn and suites. Maybe we will see you in the park! We are crossing our fingers for no rain! Hope your trip is wonderful!

So although we wont be at Disneyland for another two weeks our vacation will officially start Friday.. Yeah I have most of our things packed and ready to go! I bought Devin a new cinderella coloring book and princess colorwonder for the plane ride.. and also packed our portable DVD player with all her favorite movies.

When we get to Cali. I plan to stop at the Disney Store and buy Devin this minnie costume:

She can wear it to the Minnie and Friends character breakfast! Shes gonna look sooo cute! I love it because its pink... Its from the new spring line! By the way have you guys saw the new line... the clothes are sooo cute!! I wanted to get if before we left but I called our local Disney Store in Hawaii and they said they wont recieve it for another week. SO fingers crossed that i can find it up in Cali.

Devin is sooo into dressing up I promised her she could buy a new princess dress at Disneyland.. which she will wear to her princess dinner! She already has the Belle and Aurora costume so I wonder which one she will pick. I know she will have to have all the accesories to go with it so I am planning on spending an easy $100.00 or more on that.

Other than that I know she will want a bunch of small things that will add up.. but we also plan to do BAB.. Probably minnie and a few princess costumes. I have a few coupons for that so maybe I will purchase the extra costumes seprate so I can use all the coupons up.

Counting down the days and praying for no rain and low crowds.. I read on another board that with the canon convention? it may be crowded. Now I'm a little worried.. But I know no matter what we will enjoy ourselves!

Your little one is just too cute! I know she's gonna love this trip and all the dressing up.
We're going to be arriving the day you leave. But we won't be going to the parks until the 3rd since we'll all probably be too tired to do more than explore the resorts and look around downtown disney.

She'd be such a cute Cinderella If you know she will, get her something that looks like it's from the movie and suprise her, hehe.

So I will be leaving tomorrow!! Finally!! But wont be in Disney untill the 28th. I'll be back Feb. 02. Ill be sure to post all about my trip and lots of pictures too!!

So Im back!! Actually arrived home on Sunday.. but as usual needed a few days to recover! Our trip went GREAT! We had such a good time!! Took tons of pictures! The weather was beautiful and the crowds were low.. except for Friday.. But it was okay because we saw everything by then! I'll try to post the rest of my trip report over the next few days!

Feb. 25, 2008- Day 1

We left early in the morining to start our drive down to Anaheim from Big Bear. After a Long uneventful drive we arrived at the tropicana Inn at around 6am. Luckily they had our room ready for us so we got to check in and get settled right away. Devin was a little excited and wanted to get ready already.. but i told her to sleep a little while longer... The park didnt open for 4 more hours.. She slept for maybe 2 1/2 hours.. We were out the door by 9 am and headed upstairs to get some breakfast. Devin had some cereal.. but not much.. I guess she was a little too excited.. so we headed to Disneyland. It wasnt 10 am yet but we were let into main street. We did a little browsing around in the stores and bought Devin an autograph book for later character encounters.

WE headid to fantasy land first and rode snow-white, Peterpan, the carosel and picochhio..

All were walk on.. no wait at all!! We decided to head to the Fantasy faire since Devin kept asking when she would see them!! On the was we passed the princess shoppe.. So we stopped to get Devin a dress.. After changing her mind millions of times she finally decided on ariels ball gown.

with that out of the way.. we headed to the Fantasy faire.. With only about a 10 min. wait we got to see Belle, Aroura and Mulan.

Than we headed to Toon Town where we saw Mickey and Minnie.

A nice cast member directed us to where we could meet ariel as we were exiting toon town so we headed over. There was no one in line so we just walked right up to her.

Next we went on Pirates of the carribean and winnie the pooh. We met Pooh and Tigger at the exit

Next we decided to go to DTD to get a bite to eat. On our way out we saw Pluto and Mickey and Minnie at the end of main street.

We ate at naples Pizzaria. It was okay.. Than we went to Build a bear. Devin made a minnie mouse doll and picked the belle and snow white dress to go with it.

It was around 6pm and starting to get a little cold so we headed back to the room to shower and change. We planned to head back to catch the 7:00 parade.. but I guess you were exausted because right after your shower you fell asleep. We decided to just stay back and get a good nights rest since we had 9 am resevations at Minnie and friends we would have to get an early start the next morning.
