Pre-Trip Report for Three Princesses and a June Trip to the World, 6/24 We're Back!!

Well Disney says....just kidding. I have heard a couple of different things. Yes, I heard that you can save them and use them for later. Some of the newer rides like EE and Soarin' they have been checking on though. Also, Disney has begun to install new FP machines that shows the time and date stamped much more clearer. I don't know if this will effect the way CMs allow you to use your FPs. I heard the new FP machines have started in the AK.

Now, I heard that if you get a child swap pass that you can return at any time to use those!

OK now explain to me what a child swap pass is. I thought you just stood in line together and swap kids right at the start of the ride. You need a pass for that? Gosh do I sound like a complete greenhorn???

Let's say your fast pass window is 1pm to 2pm. Do you have to use it within that window or can you use it like three hours later?

You can most definitely use it 3 hours later, as Goofyluver said. We did that all the time on our last trip. It gave us so much flexibility. Disneyolic mentioned Soarin' and I agree - apparently they don't look too kindly there on late FPs. In general though it's not a problem. Nobody said a word to us last year so enjoy!

Yes, those things are the best! Most of our babyswap passes weren't dated at all and the ones that were said they were valid for up to 3 months. Can't say fairer than that.

Oh they're great! Babyswap passes are available on rides with height restrictions. You tell the CM at the start of the attraction that you have a child too young to ride and he'll give you a pass which is like an FP. Then you can go off with your girls (whichever of them isn't riding) and do something else and go and use the babyswap pass later for your turn. Let's say RahRah wants to ride with Dad, well she can ride with you again later cause you can take up to 3 guests with you using the babyswap pass.

Also, the babyswap pass can impact your need for FPs. Let me explain.... let's say you, DH and RahRah want to ride Splash Mountain but Boo bug and 'Baby' don't. Okay that means that you only need 2 FPs (for DH and RahRah) cause you'll be using the babyswap pass for your turn and that's *all* you need to get both you and RahRah on the ride. Therefore (and sorry if I sound totally over-the-top dorky about all this detail ) when FP time rolls around and you go to get your Splash FPs, you could get just 2 FPs for that but get 2 more for Winnie the Pooh so as to maximise your FP opportunity. See? We did that a few times except with us we had 4 park tickets and we only needed 3 FPs for the bigger rides so I would sometimes grab a single FP for Winnie The Pooh or Philharmagic to take DD on later!

Does that make sense????

Edited to add: Cathy, just to clarify, the CM at the start of the ride needs to actually see the child/ren who are too young to ride. You can't just tell DH to tell him! Just thought I'd make sure you knew that!!!

Hello all!! Today was a great day for several reasons!! While you are reading below, I figured you might want some snacks. I have fresh seedless watermelon chunks and strawberries dipped in chocolate. To drink we have soda, ice tea, or lapu lapu's. Yes folks......16 more days till I am contentedly sipping my first lapu lapu!




1. Reason #1 - I am going on another field trip tomorrow and it will be fun! We have a Physics in Motion trip at the Boardwalk.....students go on all the rides and swim in the waterpark! Its supposed to be very hot and nice tomorrow so that great!

2. Reason #2 - Poor DD3 was "ascared" to go to her recital practice and get up on stage. Oh No!! She has been worried and crying about it all week. Since she has never done it before I was wondering what she was so afraid of? Turns out she was afraid of not knowing what I was talking about!!!! Once we got there she was fine and actually enjoyed herself. I am posting pics below!

3. Reason #3 - While waiting for our turn to go on stage, someone next to me said that the young man on the other side of me works in Disney. My ears perked up and I said "What did you say?"....So I talked with him, we'll call him Fred, about Disney. He danced with my daughters dance company all of his life, graduated and is now a CM, professional dancer, for Disney!! He is currently in High School Musical playing at MGM. How cool is that!

4. Reason #4 - I ran into my friend after all of this and she told me her good news, which is always good for me too! She somehow landed a Disney Cruise for an unbelievably great price and is leaving on June 24th for a week with her family. Wow!!!

Happy June 1st everyone....especially all of you June stalkers....its our month!!!

Today I survived another fieldtrip...this time to the waterpark and boardwalk. My students had a great time and so did the chaperones! We had absolutely wonderful perfect weather. Then I came home and brought the whole family back for the rides. DD2 is getting big enough to go on the rides this year. Poor thing...last summer she could only go on a few where I could hold her. There were no crowds or lines and we rode everything! Nothing like it will be in Disney with heat and crowds and long walks.....but, a stampede of pink elephants wouldn't keep me away.

So today's count is 17 days! Why am I getting nervous? Is it just me? I think this vacation is one of the most anticipated events...... kinda like giving birth. You wait and wait and wait and suddenly its time!!!!

So between recital shows and cleaning, laundry etc, I will update you on packing and other things for Disney...check back tomorrow. My eyes are half shut and I am probably rambling right now

You got me thinking about switching resorts to POR from POFQ. I know... But V's and Jo's pics are sooooooo pretty & the Bayou section looks right up my alley! I'm looking forward to reading all about your take on the resort. I've got some time to try and switch!
