Pre-Trip Report for Three Princesses and a June Trip to the World, 6/24 We're Back!!

English kids don't finish until July 24th, not sure if that's good or bad :rotfl2:
Strange on different parts of our country is all different and also different countries. I met someone from Sweden who said that their schools have a late ending date. However, they had 2 weeks at the end of October, 3 weeks in the middle of winter. I guess it almost adds up the same. :confused3

Our kids start school the first week in September. They will have certain United States holidays off like Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Martin Luther King Day & Memorial Day. They get 3 days off near our Thanksgiving in November, 1 week during Christmas, 1 week in February, and 1 week in April. Then the last day of school is June 22 (this year).

Our kids have 6 lots of 6 week terms (well roughly) with a 1 week holiday October, 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week February, 2 weeks Easter and 1 week end of May. So it makes up to about 39 weeks of school a year. Did you understand any of that :rotfl2:

Of course I understood it. Remember...I'm good at your foreign language! :lmao:

Hey, I like that schedule! I was just talking with a gal from Chili and their year ends in Dec. (Its summer then)

I didn't think I had been absent from your trippie for too long, but man do I now have a lot of catching up to do! :goodvibes

I loved your pics of the girls and absolutely loved your idea for the countdown. When I saw the picture of it, I thought that it would be a great idea for me. But, somehow I don't think DH would appreciate that around our place, as much as he loves Disney. :rotfl2:

Welcome back NJF! I had to hide the countdown in the playroom so my DH doesnt have to see it and it perks up the plain white walls!

Those are great tips! :thumbsup2

Aww thanks Daisy! :thumbsup2 I stole them so I cant take credit for thinking of all of them ;)

My DD's ask for $ for their Birthdays before we go, last trip they each had (we made sure it was the same!) about $300  We then put $300 at the top of a piece of paper and each time they spent we deducted it, it really stopped them asking for everything as they knew once the money was gone that was it! Jess actually came home with about $150. It also stops them getting loads of junk for their Birthdays also they can buy stuff in America we just can't get over here, they are already deciding which Nintendo DS games they want

Darn, can I be one of your kids...I would be surprised if the five of us buy $50 worth of stuff while in Disney. I think the refillable mugs will be the extent of it. Course I spent all my money before I left. See the upcoming segment!! Hey I have seen stuff in England that I wanted so I understand what your kids go thru. :rolleyes1

Great tips!!! Although the bubbles thing, as well as what Disneyolic said, don't you find that the child inevitably spills some on their hand and then rubs their eyes and screams in agony as the stuff hits the eye???? Or is that just my family? :rotfl2:

Oh yikes I hadnt thought of that....ouch. My kids just love bubbles and havent gotten it in their eyes yet but you would just know they would if we were in a long hot line in Disney! :headache:

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in there...

Better than that...Disney gift cards for each with your kids names written on them. Much easier than any kind of cash, fake or not!

Great idea except if they get lost or stolen can you get them replaced??? I havent looked into them yet.

I followed your post link from Jo's report. Your girls are beutiful. I love just how in love I can tell you are with them...just love it!

You did a great job turning lemons in to lemonade (nick hotel to WDW for 7 nights). I have a few more pages to catch up, but as of where I am you are staying at POR. Which is a lovely resort.

:cool1: :cool1: Hello Princess JV! :welcome: on board and :thanks: for checking in! Glad to see you. Did you stay at POR recently??? I'll have to go check your siggy! :yay:

There's a Chili, NY 10 min. from me...you threw me for a second!! :rotfl:

Do they sell chili in Chili, NY??? I always thought it was funny that when I was pregnant with my son, I had to have chili at 11 am or else!!!:headache:

Photobucket is packed and I am waiting to load up pics for my next installment. As soon as they get uploaded I will have to show you all "what's packin" at the Princess household.
In the meantime, we have special massages back by popular demand:
Who is first tonight???

2026BLmed.jpg

And to eat we have everyone's favorite: PIZZA!! :yay:

Hello! How was your massage??? :wizard: Here is some pixie dust too! pixiedust: While you are :hourglass waiting, take a look at the kinds of things we have to pack :laundy: for Disney:

To start, I found princess sandals for DD2 and 3 to wear. I also found some cute books, sunglasses, hats, our fan mister from last year, and a hand held game for DD9.

After visiting the Disney store at the mall during their Tshirt sale, I came home with T-shirts for everyone! Also pictured are the glow necklaces and the special water coloring books I mentioned in the Toddler tips:

Disneyshopping.com is always having sales. Here are the dresses for Ohana's:

We pronouce it Chi-lie....we can tell the out-of-towners b/c they ask for directions to Chill-lee! :lmao:

Packing Continued....there is still pizza left and did I mention soda, ice tea and lemonade??? Help yourself!

Now I did order from costume stores online, the BBB dresses and makeup. Here is DD2's Belle dress, shoes, tiara, wand and make-up. I also have their pony-tail hair somewhere.

IMGP2599.jpg

DD3 love Cinderella so she is wearing this:

IMGP2600.jpg

My third princess DD9 is quite tall for her age and growing out of the princess dress-up clothes. However, I did manage to find a pretty dress from Pirates of the Carabbean and a sparkly tiara and clear "glass" shoes with heals. I hope she likes it!
IMGP2602.jpg

Finally, the only things that I didnt get on sale were the pink Disney crocs for all of us gals. Here they are:

IMGP2592-1.jpg

They were excited and hugging each other~:dance3:

IMGP2594.jpg

And thats it!!! Well except for two things. Luggage (getting for Mom's Day)and a new DVD to play for the plane ride. We only have a two hour ride so one movie about fits the bill. :thumbsup2

One final pic. This is one for Jo's Static Caravan. Darn kids need to brush them there teef! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

IMGP2554.jpg

Have a great day all! Oh and the count is under 40! Since its late I dont count today or last day....we are looking at 38 days right now :cool1: princess: princess: princess:

:confused3 I say the latter too...opps. The lady I was speaking to was from the country Chili but learned English from the British. It was a lovely accent! I loved listening to her. Darn I love that British accent! I wish I could speak it! :goodvibes

Its bad Jo...what about your summer???? Do they have a long break during the winter or something :confused3
We have a 6 week holiday in the summer!

I love the girls outfits so cute :cutie:

I love that you all love the British accent, you do know we all don't sound like Hugh Grant though don't you :rotfl2:

Great idea except if they get lost or stolen can you get them replaced??? I havent looked into them yet.
Probably not, but neither can monopoly money (;) ) or real cash. So, I would keep the cards in my own pocket.

There's a Chili, NY 10 min. from me...you threw me for a second!! :rotfl:
My cousin lived there for a while when her DH was going to Brockport! Yup - Chi-lee.

Hey Jo - those look like TE's long lost kids from her 2nd cousin/uncle/father! :lmao:

Well the suspense is over and the decision is made......

We are officially staying at......
Port Orleans Riverside!!!!!!!!!!

Of course now I need to completely change my itinerary and ADR's...Yikes

I am so excited that you guys will get to vacation at POR!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I know that I'm still catching up on everything. You will definitely have to tell me all about it when you get back so I can see what I'm in for in December. I can't wait and I know you will have so much fun!!! I'm just so glad that you are getting to stay where you wanted, after all!!! :cool1:

Hello All! :chat: :hyper2: :wave2: :goodvibes

I thought we could share some of our favorite memories of past Disney trips and also talk about what we are looking forward to the most on our next trip. It could be places or attractions or things you want to do or did. Maybe we could list and discuss our top three???

What a great idea! I'll have to add my favorite memories after I finally catch up with all these postings. LOL :rotfl:

What I'm looking forward to on the next trip (in Oct!)

1.The DDP

2.Staying on-site for the first time!(POP)

3.Spending time with the family going with us 19 of us in all. (OK, maybe not)

4.Buying new Christmas ornaments for our "Disney" Tree we started last year.

5.Eating at Boma again

Oh, I could go on and on.........

1. The DDP is awesome! How great to have your food all paid for and then just sit down and enjoy. You'll love it.

2. We stayed at POP in July. We loved it! It's the cutest thing to see so many enlarged memories and memorabilia. You'll get a kick out of the lobby which has shadow boxes with things from each era. My DH and I kept pointing out stuff we used to have or play with that no longer exist. It's a fun place to go for your first on-site property. Their pools are great, too.

3. 19 in all! :scared1: How are you managing the planning? Is it crazy? Have you ever done that many people to WDW before? We've seen large groups together before and always thought it's kind of neat.

4. You mentioned your Disney Christmas tree. Is that just a normal sized tree you decorate with Disney stuff or some special Disney Christmas tree? I ask, because we'll be there in December for Christmas and it would be a neat idea to begin.

5. We've never been to Boma and plan to try it on this upcoming trip. What is it like? What food do you recommend? What's the overall atmosphere like?

I don't want to share my last really good memories because I'm sharing those on my "pre-trip/trip report". I wouldn't want to spoil the fun. If ya'll want to see some of my past special Disney memories, visit the link below in my siggie.

Yes, I have shamelessly plugged my own trip report!! :lmao: :lmao: Sorry!

It's never bad to do that. :goodvibes It just means you think your trippie is good. Many of us understand that. :goodvibes On that note, my pre-trip report link is at the bottom. ;)

I, myself, am a teacher, and am jealous of all of you teachers who have last days of school so early! My last day is June 22, darnit! *Mid June and Late May* Sheesh!

Have fun, I will live vicariously through all of you....and when you come back with your TR's, I will still be in school...BOO!

SOO...have a real :mickeybar for me!

I can TOTALLY relate! I am a teacher, too and my last day is June 21st. It's hard reading about all the teachers who are almost done, but I can't complain. At least we get summers off. I will definitely have to live vicariously through a lot of people until December, when we go on our trip. When are you going?

After my walk, ice pop and massage :lmao: I ordered some Disney beach towels  which were on sale from disneyshopping.com. They were two for $15 and they are even personalized! Cute! And I bought those matching Hawiian Sundresses for myself and the girls to wear to Ohana's. They were on sale too!
You and your girls will look so cute!!! I can't wait to see pics of how you look together. I love matching outfits. That's great that you were able to get those towels personalized. Have the girls seen them yet? I'm sure they'll love them. Now, I have to try and catch up with the rest of these postings. :goodvibes

:rotfl: I love the pic of your DDs sportin the new teeth! Too funny!

You are such a sweet mommy for planning a magical trip for your daughters. All the wonderful things you are doing---it is so nice to hear (read;) ). I love the Elizabeth Swan costume! So pretty. I am sure your DD9 will love it!

Love the Disney Crocs! Those are the exact ones we got for our DD to wear to Disney World this past January. She loved them and she still wears them all the time even though they are now too small.
They are a bit pricey but to me the price is worth it. They will most likely be able to walk around longer and not get tired feet.:woohoo:

I loved the pics of your DD's!! They are adorable!! You said 40 days left...are you leaving on the 20th? Are we going to be in WDW at the same time? I must have missed your post earlier on with the dates.

So far they are loving them. We went out tonight to get hair cuts and all of the older ladies at the salon were ohhhing and ahhhhing over the matching pink shoes....:rotfl:

For $100 more by booking AAA, it was definately worth moving up to POR. The fridge, the trundle, the location, the activities and the beautiful grounds all made the choice easier. I will let you know in minute detail how it all goes....stay tuned! :thumbsup2
