Pre-Trip Report for Three Princesses and a June Trip to the World, 6/24 We're Back!!

Hello All!
Tonight we will be enjoying Dole Whips! Which are what?? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 I have never actually had one but they sound intriguing. So all you experts....what are they?
!

Can you believe I didn't see any Dole Whips in the World. I've never even heard of them until the DIS. I did happen to stumble across them at our county fair though before the trip and of course I had to try one. They're sort of like a smoothie, but thicker yogurt-ish thick and Pineapple-y. Kinda sour tasting too. It was good, but I like sour sweets.

The other thing I was thinking about was about Mousekeeping. I wanted to decorate an envelope (one per day) and put a tip in for each day. Generally how much do you all tip each day? I was thinking along the lines of $5 or $6 a day. Is this pretty standard or no?

I tipped $1 per person/per day. Although I did miss like 2 days so just tipped those at the end. I was kinda bummed though because we never got any special Towel animals :sad2: . I even printed these cute envelopes from The Mouse for less. Here's a link: http://www.themouseforless.com/downloads/trip/mousekeeping.shtml.

You click on the picture you want, put an evelope (the long kind) into your printer and and print it out. They're very cute. IMO.

ONLY 50 MORE DAYS!!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :cheer2:

I never had one either. The photos don't look that appealing to me. LOVE those Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich bars though. :cloud9:

We tipped 3 dollars per day. I think 5 or 6 is very generous. I wouldn't have even thought to tip mousekeeping if I hadn't read the DIS.

I have also started looking into a possible delivery by the Garden Grocer. My DD 2.5 loves milk. (Seriously folks she can't get up in the morning without it...She calls it Moi) Since POR has in-room fridges, it would be nice to have milk in there for mornings and evenings.

We had a delivery from WeGoShop when we stayed in POFQ. It was a great success!!! We had tons of water, juice, crackers, toiletries etc delivered. Worked out great! I would highly recommend doing it (either one - WeGoShop or Garden Grocer). My problem was I hadn't a clue about American brands so I had to look up various websites to see what was what and then place my order based on that. lol! Oh I see Jo mentioned about the big cartons of milk in the resort shop. Yeah, they're great value. The little teeny one in the food court costs nearly the same so don't make the mistake of buying those. ::thumbsup2

My DH and DD's started their veggy garden today.

Wow!! That is so cool. I feel guilty now cause 'Alice' loves 'gardening' and such but I never seem to get the time to do anything like that with her these days. I seemed to have so much more time when the boys were her age. :( The veggy garden sounds like a lovely idea. I think I'll make a special effort to do something like that with her this summer. :)

ONLY 50 MORE DAYS!!!! :woohoo: :cool1: :cheer2:

Woohoo!!!!! :woohoo: :yay:

Gorgeous photo!! :goodvibes

I'm sorry...but no food today????? I'm reeeeeealllly hungry!!! :confused3

Leftover Easter Bunnies anyone????

Thanks Deb and Jo! I saw the little cartons last summer when we were at All Stars. I didn't know about the big cartons. That will work perfectly as long as it fits in the fridge. I have almost decided to bring the snacks and water in a separate smaller suitcase and just get milk there.

Well, our crocs arrived today! They are cool but the little ones were too small. The girls were between sizes and I ordered down as it said on the website. Of course, I should have ordered up. Oh well. Rah Rah and mine fit well and are sooo comfortable. When I get all the right sizes, I will take a pic and show you all.

I usually don't tip when I stay at a hotel....I think it must be a Disney thing. Either that or I have left behind a lot of unhappy chambermaids. Thats why I asked what the going rate was here on the wonderful Dis :disrocks: So it looks like $4 or $5 is plenty...great ...thanks!

OK so tonight I am dedicating to catching up on everyone else's threads. I didn't even make it on here last night. Thanks for reading everyone! I really appreciate all of your help and kind thoughts and wishes!!! You all really are the best! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

:goodvibes :goodvibes (Insert sour face here) I like sour stuff too!Unfortunately we dont have a printer...can you believe it? I was just going to put Disney stickers on a plain envelope and call it a day ;)

Good morning everyone, but Jo. Good afternoon Jo! ;)

You all like my GIFs? I cannot reveal my source....then all of you would use them and I wouldn't be the most popular girl around!

Dole Whips...what can I say about them? I know - yuck. I just had to have one as everyone hyped them! I definitely did not like it nor did Rob. However, try the virgin strawberry/pina colada smoothies. They are awesome!!!!

So you aren't giving up your sources, huh? How about for a big chocolatey drippy Mickey Head Ice Cream bar ??? :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar
I will have to try out the smoothie...sounds yummy too!!

As far as Mousekeeping goes, I think we tend to leave about $4 a day. Maybe I am a bit on the cheap side but we don't leave big messes. On days that I ask for something extra, like extra towels or a sheet change, I do leave more.

Yes, I think that sounds about right! :thumbsup2

Good night all...one final thing I forgot to mention

Oooh yum!! Love that smiley. :lmao: You know my 10 year old still has an easter egg left (the chocolate kind!). I'm here alone and it's all I can do not to run in there and devour it right now. He's taunting us with it day and night.

My 2 have still got loads of Easter chocolate left! when they were younger I used to be able to pinch some with out them knowing, for their own good you know wouldn't want them to get rotten teeth :rotfl2: but now they're older they know exactly what they've got left :sad1:

The things I have ordered have arrived. And something in each package is ill-fitting  So, I am on my way to the post office to return them. Do you want me to bring any of your mail or packages there? I will drop them off for you!!!

Snacks this evening include nachos and salsa, popcorn, chips and dip and huge glasses of yummy ice tea! :yay: popcorn::

I will be back on later to discuss more....enjoy! ( I am actually giving the girls baths and not going to the post office :rotfl: )

Wow thanks for the breakfast....I'm on cloud 9 :cloud9: I made the salad for lunch!

So today I received the dresses from Disney.com. They are so cute...we got the matchy Hawiian ones. DD9's doesn't fit and she doesn't like it anyways...:confused3 Oh well, I will match the two little ones instead! So that's Return #2.

Yesterday the t-shirts from Dazzle.com arrived. Ya....the adult t-shirts were sooooo small they barely fit DD9! So I have to send them back. (Return #3) Yikes  It's a good thing I didn't order them last minute. However, they will be nice once they fit properly. :laundy:

And, we sent back the crocs yesterday (Return #1) so hopefully the larger size will fit DD2 and DD3 better.

Gosh ... I see why I hate to order from the internet. Now I have to pay all this shipping for exchanges :headache:

One good thing though...:dance3: :dance3: we paid the balance and got our confirmation for our ressies at POR!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Whoooo hoooo on the final payment  Booo hoooo on the returns!

:goodvibes Thanks Jo!
