Oh Deb! Your dancing bears almost caused me to choke on my rice krispee treats! Thanks for the warning about DisneyJo. I'll keep a close eye on my treats while she's around. Thanks also for sending me over to Cathy's trippie, it's filled with good food, good times and good friends - what more do we need? Now get back to work on your trippie!

Cathy - thanks for the warm welcome and I must say the rice krispee treats are yummy! I'm so glad you were able to get Port Orleans Riverside. Hope the adr's can be worked out. What's on the menu for tomorrow? Can I bring anything?

Glad you liked the treats Sus! Tomorrow it may actually start to warm up and, could that be the sun coming out????? I am cold and moldy from our lack of spring-like weather. So, to celebrate we are having hor d'eourves, punch, and for dessert....Mickey Bars So come on back!

Hello All!

I thought we could share some of our favorite memories of past Disney trips and also talk about what we are looking forward to the most on our next trip. It could be places or attractions or things you want to do or did. Maybe we could list and discuss our top three???

We also have some yummy snacks such as hot and cold passed hor d'eourves, punch (the kind with soda, sherbert and ice), and for dessert Mickey Bars for everyone! There's plenty so help yourself!

I have no idea what they are but now that I look closely I agree with Jo, I think they're rolls of toilet paper. How hygienic and yet, at the same time, gross.

I thought we could share some of our favorite memories of past Disney trips and also talk about what we are looking forward to the most on our next trip. It could be places or attractions or things you want to do or did. Maybe we could list and discuss our top three???

GREAT idea! Although I have 4 (I couldn't choose!!)

My 4 favourite WDW memories:

1) Arriving at Disney World on our first trip in 2005: We opened the door to our room at POFQ and finally realised that after many years that we were finally there - AT DISNEY WORLD!! There was a magical atmosphere in the room and to add to this joy, just at that moment, as we sat smiling, chatting, busily making plans for our days ahead, 'Alice' stood up for the first time right there during her first minutes in Disney World. Disney Magic!! 'Garth' grabbed his camera and even got shots of it. It was just a very special moment all round.

2) This memory is not of Disney World itself but simply of sharing the news with the kids that we going back!!
We had talked and talked about going back there again. The boys thought it would be a few years perhaps. But I surprised them on Easter Sunday 2006 (by giving them clues to find words I had hidden around the house in painted egg cases). Well I will never forget their excitement and delirious joy when they put all the words together to reveal 'We are going back to Disney World in October'. That was a precious memory!!!

3) Illuminations: I wasn't sure what to expect of Illuminations. It's quite hard to 'move' me emotionally. But the first time we saw it in June '05 I got shivers down my spine. I didn't even notice that I had tears rolling down my face. I was blown away by it and looked at DH and the boys faces and knew, at that moment, that we were all in love with WDW and would be back!

4) Birthday surprise!: 'Garth' got such an amazing surprise on his 10th birthday (well the day after it). We were having lunch in The Plaza in MK and he was wearing his birthday badge. Out of the blue our wonderful server brought out a beautiful birthday cake, announced that it was a special guest's birthday, called 'Garth' over and had everyone in the restaurant sing 'Happy Birthday' to him. I was so moved by that. He's a great kid and really deserved some extra attention and he just couldn't have been happier with such an amazing gesture. Oh and the cake was delicious too!!!

So that's my lot! Are you grading us Cathy? Do I get an extra Mickey Bar if I get an 'A'?

2.The first time I saw Fantasmic! What a spectacular show! I bought the cd and listen to it in the car all the time - my DH thinks I'm nuts!

3.Doing the character meals and watching all the fireworks shows with my kids, precious family memories!


4. A funny one: Last year my mom's husband came with us to WDW for the first time. We asked, what was your favorite ride? He said, (I crack up just thinking about it), "I liked that one with the characters, you know, (pause,thinking), I think it was for kids." Later we figured out (somehow) that he was talking about the Winnie the Pooh ride!


What I'm looking forward to on the next trip (in Oct!)

1.The DDP

2.Staying on-site for the first time!(POP)

3.Spending time with the family going with us 19 of us in all. (OK, maybe not)

4.Buying new Christmas ornaments for our "Disney" Tree we started last year.

5.Eating at Boma again

Oh, I could go on and on.........

Hello All! Here are some memories of last year's trip. We didnt take that many pictures....I wasnt in charge of the camera. This year I will be though...so watch out! I don't know if I can keep it to three either.

Memories
1. Here Boo Bug and Baby are all excited about going to Disney.

2. I am excited about first seeing Main Street and the Castle with all three girls. Here we are entering last year with the two girls in the stroller. You can see it's 7:40 am!

3. I look forward to the excitement of the attractions and the magic. Here is Boo Bug on her very first ride at Disney... Pink Elephants!

4. I look forward to sharing Disney with my hubby. We did have a great day at MK last year.

5. I loved the resort theming and am really looking forward to exploring POR this year. Here we are at All Star Movies after a swim.

6. We loved the character meals and the Disney Dining Plan. Here we are last year..

Gosh,,,,I forgot to put out more food! Sorry! Lets see tonight since its Friday and I dont feel like cooking...we are having...Pizza! I ordered from our local deli and its the best pizza ever...they have a special oven and its always yummy. Course we have coke, diet coke, pepsi and diet pepsi to drink. For dessert, we have some pralines that Medicgirl made...thanks MD!!!!
