Pre Trip Report - 2 Brothers+Las Vegas = Nice Relaxing Holiday

On Friday 14th January 2011, there I am sat in my study at home working away when I get a phone call......

'Warren' is flashing up on my Blackberry....

'Jord...how do you fancy a week in Las Vegas in 5 weeks time'....I thought about this for all of 1 second...

HELL YEAH!!!!

Id been eyeing up a trip to the 'City of Sin' since I watched the film The Hangover in 2009 and this was my oppetunity. Now originally my brother came to me with a deal for £750. Flights with Virgin & a room at the Tropicana, but I was going to VEGAS!!! I wanted the glitz, I wanted the glamour....and more importantly....being a massive boxing fan, I wanted to stay in one of the meccas of Boxing...

So I convinced my brother to stay at the MGM Grand

So it was all booked by Friday night, a week in Vegas at the MGM Grand from the 2nd March flying from Gatwick. My mum was very impressed at the speed and organisation skills we had as not only was the holiday booked within a day, we had also sorted transport to London and a hotel for the night! This all coming from two lads who's usual approach is 'il do it later'!

Since that Friday there has been alot of research done into what we actually want to do out there and there seems to be so much to see. Anyway so far what we have planned is :-

Wednesday 2nd March Its our travel day..arrive at the hotel...*I will be trying the $20 room trick*....abit of a chill out when we arrive, grab some food and have a wonder.

Thursday 3rd March EXPLORE! Have a wonder up the strip, maybe ride the rides at the top of the Stratosphere.

Friday 4th March All we have planned is to go see a comedy show at night so far....so Im guessing some time by the pool.

Saturday 5th March I shall be on my own (Big awwwww from you all please ) as my brother is off to watch the Nascar race with a friend. This could be a day for me to catch some sun and maybe do abit of shopping.

Sunday 6th March Again my brother is at the Nascar....so I will have the daytime on my own, possibly a trip off the strip!!!

Monday 7th March Were looking into a hellicopter trip around the Grand Canyon...but seeing as helicopters are a massive fear of mine this could be eventful!!

Tuesday 8th March Have a final day exploring the strip....definatley want to get a picture under the Las Vegas sign!

Wednesday 9th March Return home, skint, grumpy and tired!!!

Anyway thats our plan, Im sure there will be ALOT of food consumed over there and if you read my last trip report to Orlando you will know we have lots of funny random times, so I will be deffinatley doing a trip report for you when we come back....I just hope I have some good stories to tell!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot. We also may partake in the occasional gamble and the occasional beverage, but I wouldnt expect them to be that easy to get hold of!!! BUT we will promise to behave ourselves!!!!
