Let's just start off by saying that I picked the right name....because I AM Nutz4dzny!!!!!!
We went to WDW for 7 days this past Feb. with another couple and stayed at the BC. Then I planned a 3 week trip for Christmas this year at the AKL. We never stayed there yet.
Feb. came and went and we had a great time! Then I had an unexpected week off in August. I found out about this in June so I had an idea!!!! Why sit home and do nothing...I'll go to DISNEY WORLD! But my DH couldn't break away from his job so I asked my DS who is 17 if he wanted to go with just Mom! Of course he said yes! ( I brought him up right!) So we made plans to go to AKL to check it out!
All I can say is WOW! We loved it and are glad we are spending Christmas there this year. Then I got to feeling bad that my DH had to stay home in August so I got another Brain Storm!
The dates for the MNSSHP came out and Spirit was offering Cyber Specials and the AP Codes and everything........well how could I resist I ask you DIS'ERS?????
So even before our August trip I started to plan this one! I knew we could not break away from work too long and then I remember telling my DH someday I would love to just fly down to WDW for a day and then come back the next day! An Idea was born!
Quick...pick date....Oct.27th Sunday for the MNSSHP and then come back late Monday. We can arrange our schedules to have Monday off! Perfect.
Next.....Book airlines.....Leave 7 AM (It helps that we live 10 min. from Airport!) Arrive at 9 AM Sunday Morning. Leave Monday the 28th at 6 PM and get home by 8 PM. Perfect. Round-trip....$130.00!
Next...get MNSSHP tickets. Check!
Next...well.....the F & W Festival is going on and we are wine lovers so.......book the BC! Only had the YC but we booked it at AP rate and then call every day until we get the BC side! Got it 3 weeks later.
We already have our AP so we are okay. Oh BTW our DS decided not to go this time since he is involved in a lot of activities at school and this is his senior year!
Next...Book the LTT for 6 PM on the 27th so we can be in the park. All done!
Next...book a car on the emerald aisle with DC discount...All done!
Now I can sit back and read boards.....what's this I hear???? An AP Party at the Adventure land? Be there and meet some fellow DIS'ERS before dinner. Then I see a thread about how a lot of us will be at the LTT for dinner at the same time. Wow! Finally get to meet some more people!
Next...find out when the times for the wine seminars are going to be at EPCOT on Sunday. (We have a CM who called us and gave us the heads up on this) so we now have our morning and afternoon planned for EPCOT.
We only have to pack carry-ons so checking in will be a breeze! So I call Spirit to ask about their new First Class seating and the girl on the phone upgrades us for free! Now we only have to be at the airport 1 hour before.
Also tonight is Daylight savings...so we gain an hour! This is looking good!
Now if only Sat. can go quickly! I do have to go into the office today for 3 hours so that will help pass the time.
So this is our Whirlwind vacation.......Stayed tuned for when I get back and write the trip report to see if it all worked out liked we planned!!!!!!
I plan on taking a lot of Pics of the AP Party and any fellow DIS'ERs I meet!
