So we are ten days out until our big disney vacation!
Who's coming? (Roll call)

18 months and his first disney trip but definitely not his last

almost 30 HA! New Yorker Disney isnt totally his scene, but he loves his family too

So a little background: Back in the fall I entered Orbitz' Inside your celebration sweepstakes thanks to a fellow DISer who announced the contest on this board. When we won I totally thought...okay whats the catch...but no catch! We do have to pay taxes on the trip but thats expected seeing how it was a contest.
What we won: 4 -5day park hoppers, round trip airfare for my brother and his wife (I live close to orlando, so we'll drive), A 4 night stay at BC, room decorations by Mickey and his gang (not too sure what that one means yet), ground transportation from Orlando airport to the resort. 150 GC in Disney Dollars and 150 GC Visacard.
A little more info: Since my brother and his wife were going to join us, my mom and grandmother decided to join in the fun and got rooms at a great rate through priceline at the Royal Plaza in Downtown Disney for 55 a night!
So here we are 10 days out and I'm at that point of 'I dont know what else to do. Why isnt it time to go yet?" I have made may packing list and its quite extensive seeing how we will be traveling with an 18 month old. I have made the cutest laminated signs for our stroller with our last name written on red and black mickey ears and also a little sign to go in front of the stroller that says My first WDW trip. Have all of Connor's disney clothes hung up and ready to pack, been putting odds and ends in "the disney box" -snacks, lysol wipes, bibs, small toys to keep the kiddo occupied, etc. Made a ressie for character breakfast at Cape May and a ressie at Nine Dragon for hubby and I (our date night while mom watches Connor).
But on a side note....AAAAHHHH
...i am just so ready for this trip! I cannot wait. The last time I stayed at Disney was like 89 when i was 8 years old. Living so close to orlando, we mostly just went on Disney Day trips and came right home. I feel really blessed to have won this trip. It wasnt something we were looking to do, but looking back on it, I think what a great opportunity for us to have a nice big family vacation! Sigh...but as of right now, I am running a slight fever
and feel as if I have two golf balls on the side of my neck (swollen glands)...ugh I just hope it goes away before we leave and that i dont pass this on to any one else in the family. As it is, I postponed my sons 18 mo. checkup because he ALWAYS runs fever after his shots. In september we took a beach vacation a week after shots....and he ran 104 temp all week we were there. and then at christmas...checkuptime again and guess what? more fever ...so there is NO way I was takign a chance of having a grumpy 18 month old at the happiest place on earth! As it is, I'm sure we will have grumpy moments without him being sick! So here's hoping that all is better by D-Day.
My husband thinks I'm silly belonging to a disney message board and doesnt "get" my love for disney, but I had to share in my excitement with people I know who'd be excited too!! So look back in a few days. I'll try to do one more pre-trip report a day or two before it's time to go.
