Pre-trip mail for one villa - not mine

I've had 2 2-bdrm villas reserved for December. DH and I are in one with a couple of adult kids and 2 adult kids and families are in the other.
Last week, my son who is listed as the lead in the other one received a personalized mailer from DVC regarding their upcoming trip, which made them really excited!
I didn't get anything as the lead in mine. Is that typical?

I get them sometimes but not all the time. Not sure what triggers them to go out.
