Hi All- This is my first pre-trip/trip report, but I have been reading many other people's trip reports for a very long time. The pictures below are of me (DW) and the nerdy young gentleman is my husband. He and I traveled to WDW last Aug to chill before I started teaching again. We fell in love with GF and will be staying there again this summer! And... we will also be staying at AKL! Woot! Right now I think we have Waaay to many ADRs booked, but maybe people can weigh in on that.

Who are we?
DH (A chill dapper dude)
Favorite Handshake:Big Hero Six
Favorite Film: Sorcerer's Stone and Up
Favorite Disney Character: I think its the snake from Robin Hood!lol!

Me (high strung fancy lady)
Favorite Handshake: Twiddle Dee and Dum greeting Alice from both sides!
Favorite Film: Wall-E, Up and The Little Mermaid
Favorite Disney Character: Any disney robot!

Okay...Now for the details...
Day one (Arrive at AKL)
Get to resort by 10am and have a relaxed QS breakfast at the Mara. Then head to AK for afternoon fun and perhaps some Flame Tree BBQ. At 5:30 go to ADR at BOMA! Eat then hit up all the night fun at AK! Make fast passes for this?

Day Two (Typoon and Jinko)
My husband adores the waterparks! Like he is crazy for them. So we will have room service breakfast and watch animals, then head to the water slides. That night we have an 8pm Jinko dinner and we plan to dress for the occasion.

Day Three (Hollywood studios)
Wake up and uber to Captain's Grill for breakfast, then take a boat to HWS for rope drop. This will be my husbands first upside down rollercoaster!!! He is gonna go for it (RNRC) so I don't have to ride alone...but...he made me promise I would go on ToT! I am afraid of heights, am I gonna freak??? We have been to disney before, but have skipped this park, so we are also gonna hit up the classics and eat at 50s Prime for lunch. Finally we have an early dinner at Sanaa, then its back to HWS for Star Wars fireworks.

Day Four (Universal)
In the morning we are going to transfer our bags with bell services to GF! Then we are gonna hit up the new King Kong ride and try not to be chickens about Jurassic River adventure! We also are gonna see Animal Actors. We have never done these attractions so we are excited! Finally we end the day with Citricos at GF!

Day Five (GF, DS and MK)
Breakfast in bed followed by pool?boating?golf? We wanna check out DS and have lunch at the Boathouse. In the evening we are gonna head to MK, then duck out for dinner at Cali Grill, then back to MK for late night fun EMH.

Day six (Epcot)
Kona breakfast! Then all the new stuff at EPCOT!!! Sorin is my favorite ride, can't wait for the new film! I also hope the Frozen ride is good, my husbands favorite ride WAS Malestrom so...We are going to eat and drink around the world for lunch. For dinner Via Napoli followed by illuminations! Should we go to Jellyrolls after?

Day Seven (AK Morning followed by MNSSHP!!!)
Breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe followed by a trip to AK for Animals and shows! Lunch at Yak and Yeti, then a NAP! At four we head to MNSSHP for the special dessert package and dinner at BOG! I know, what a night! We are thinking about wearing shirts that show scary turning points in disney films like Snow White right as she bites the apple, or Sleeping Beauty's finger hovering above the spinning wheel. Thoughts on this low key costume idea???

Day Eight (MK)
BOG breakfast making sure to finally hit up the liberty boat. I have only done this at Disneyland and its one of my favorite classic attractions. Lunch is the special tea back at GF (are we too old for this?) and dinner is at Narcosse's!! We LOOOOVE this restaurant! Beautiful views!

Day 9 (Brunch, More Epcot, Pool)
We have an 11am brunch at Raglan Road, followed by some Epcot, then pool time before dinner at Artist Point! Is this place good? Never tried it!

Day 10 (pool and fly away home)
Thoughts on this trip plan? Any suggestions? Edits? Likes?

Below are pics from our last trip!

Day 1: I would make some Fastpasses, maybe for the safari if you want to do that, that night.

Day 3: We found 3 TS meals in one day to be too much, but if their spaces out right it could work. I'm scared of heights and Tower of Terror terrified me. I actually cried a little bit :rolleyes1 I don't know if it was just the heights though or the dropping. I hadn't been on a drop ride since I was a kid and thought itnwouldn't be so bad.

Day 4: I actually chickened out of River Adventure but my boyfriend said it wasn't bad. He said since the boat is huge the drop doesn't feel too big.

Day 6: Never been to Jellyrolls, but checking out the Boardwalk would be fun. We missed it on our last trip, and I wish we'd seen it.

Day 7: I think dinner and lunch might be too close here. But Be Pur Guest is awesome! We do low key costumes too, this year I think we're just doing Haunted Mansion clothes.

Day 8: You're never too old for anything at Disney!

Make sure to spend some time in Disney Springs too it looks awesome with all the new additions, we spent some time looking around and getting snacks our first and one of our last nights.

Overall it sounds great, September had very low crowds when we went lst year. :hmghost:

Hi! would love some advice on fastpasses for Day one.:lovestruc Should I make ALL my fast passes for night time Ak fun: Shows, rides etc... What do people think? Or should I see if there are any left after using my three earlier in the day? Would love some feedback.:flower1:

Maybe do 1 during the day and the others at night. The nighttime stuff would just be the Jungle Book show and the safari. I think the safari is still considered the same Fastpass it's just later times are available so I'm not sure if you could book one for day, and 1 for night.

So maybe do something during the day, then get a Jungle Book one, and a around dusk safari one. (I heard dusk is better than night for the safari).

Okay so I have to make fast passes for tomorrow. Here is what I am thinking::tinker:

Day One: Animal Kingdom Noon-11 Night Fun
Save Fast Passes for Night fun: Safari, Everest and Jungle Book

Day Two: Typoon Lagoon

Day Three: Hollywood Studios All Day 9- Close
FP: Toy Story, Indy Show and Star Tours

Day Four: Universal

Day Five: Magic Kingdom! 3:00-11pm EMH
FP: Festival of Fantasy, and late night passes for Splash and SDMT

Day Six: Epcot All Day 9-Close
FP: Soarin, SE, Misson

Day Seven: AK Morning 9-1pm /Break 1pm-3pm/MK (MNSSHP) 4pm-12pm
FP: Safari, Kali, Everest

Day Eight: MK All Day 9-10
FP: SDMT, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear

Day Nine: Epcot 1-6:30
FP: Frozen, Living with the Land, Nemo

Any thoughts are...:welcome:

We did the Deluxe Dining when we went to Disney in October 2013. It was SOOOOOO much food. More food than we could ever eat. And we love to eat. We are huge foodies, but by the end of the week we were truly stuffed. Keep in mind we have a teenage son and he is always hungry. During the trip whenever it was time to eat he would complain that he wasn't hungry. LOL!! I haven't heard him say those words since.

Your fastpass plans look great.

I think this is good advice. We don't want to feel too heavy or sleepy. :)
Should we cut our lunch reservations in favor of light lunches?
Just looked at menus. It is a lot of food.

You are probably okay with keeping them. I would go with some of the harder to get TS lunches. Flame Tree is our favorite.

I would definitely keep the 50's Prime Time. We ate there on our last trip and everyone loved it.

We learned a lot on our last trip. It made us realize that by having so many ADR's we were held to a eating schedule rather than a riding/show schedule. Unless you are dead set on them, I would definitely scale back some of them. Maybe do a few light lunches and keep the ADR's that you have your heart set on.

Oh and our family loves the Jurassic Park ride. We always have a funny story to tell when we go on it.

The first time we went on it with our son was when we still lived in Florida. He was 5 at the time and totally scared of the ride. Well, it was right after a hurricane had went through and we braved the bad weather that still lingered. Well, we were almost to the end and a tree fell on the track. We got stuck right at the exit, but couldn't get off because we weren't at the docks yet.

We went back in 2015 and we got stuck in the room where all the alarms were going off. For 10 minutes. Talk about having a headache afterwards. LOL!! On the plus side, we got express passes to any ride in the park. LOL!! Chris still talks about it to this day. Our family is always getting stuck on rides. So, if we are in the line with you, prepare to get stuck on a ride. LOL!! Can't tell you how many times we got stuck on Test Track. We even got stuck when we were family of the day once....

No matter what you decide on the dining, you are going to have an awesome trip!!

What an awesome family story! I've never been stuck on a ride before. It's kinda cool. :)
I grew up going to Disneyland (I'm originally from Cali).once, on a family trip Moments with Mr. Lincoln broke down and he started to talk in a silly robot like voice. Good times when u are 8.
