Does anyone have a pic of this? The one with cheese, breads and dried fruit? Thanks!

Here's ours, I'm not sure if this is the one you mean, it is called "International and Domestic Cheese Display with Fresh Honeycomb" on our BEO.

OMG, that's gorgeous! Which venue was this through? Any details would be appreciated. I'm planning 40th anniversary (not a vow renewal) and I would love this at a gathering. :goodvibes

Thanks! I was really happy with it - for the five minutes that I saw it, lol. That picture is after guests have taken some, so the plates would have been fuller and there would have been more fruit to garnish. There was also a large plate with different bread toasts that you can't see. I did have some and everything was really good. I love cheese and honey and the honeycomb was delicious. We also had the bacon wrapped beef and blue cheese and that was a huge hit.

Our pre-reception was at Whitehall room, so it was the Grand Floridian Kitchens doing the catering. If you need any more info just let me know. During our tasting we just asked for a cheese display and I mentioned the honeycomb since they have that at Citricos and that's what they came up with. ;)

Congrats on your 40th Anniversary! :goodvibes

Thank you. We really want to do appetizers, wine, etc. at one of the patio's in Epcot while watching Illuminations. It's something we've talked about for many, many years. Through the years we've often walked by a private event by the bridge between United Kingdom and France, and we always looked at each other and said "We definitely have to do this for an anniversary celebration sometime". So, we've picked our 40th, Feb.2012, as the big celebration.

The best part is we will have 7 grandkids who will be coming for their first WDW trip!

That sounds amazing! What a great way to celebrate your anniversary. I'm sure they can definitely do what you want, I found Disney to be really accommodating in terms of food.

How fun it's going to be to see the looks on your grandkids' faces for their first trip to Disney World! We had such a great time in Disney with everyone, we definitely want to do a group trip again in the future.

Thanks, I am very excited about it! I'm assuming I call Disney catering? Is that correct? :goodvibes

I think so, but I'm not really sure. That would definitely be a good place to start and I'm sure they could always point you in the right direction if it wasn't them.

That display looks really tasty.

It was really good, I did make sure to have a little ;).

If I may ask, how much did that cost per person?

I'm not sure how much it cost on it's own, they never gave me a break out that way but with the beef and blue meatballs it was $20 per person. I would think it was around $10 per person. ;)

Thanks for posting this pic! We really wanted to do more for our pre-reception but it's looking like this is all we will be able to do for our budget. I was worried that it wouldn't be very nice, but it looks amazing!!!! For those who were wondering the price, I have the pre-reception menus and it says that the International and Domestic Cheese Display is $9.75 per guest.

The display looks amazing. If I were to plan this (for say our VR :) ) who would I contact?

Also, is this available at MK too or just Epcot? I'm thinking the cheese display at MK (for Wishes). :lovestruc

Thanks!!

You're welcome! I had doubts myself especially because back home cocktail hours have an insane amount of food, so I was really worried it would look too small. We had 66 people, so I guess they scale it accordingly? There was plenty for everyone though.

Thanks! For your VR are you having a reception? I would think your planner could just arrange it in that case, but if you are arranging the reception yourself, maybe Disney catering?

I don't think it would be an option at MK because they don't do private parties there (at least not that I know of) but if you were having a Wishes DP at the GF it would be the same kitchen that prepared mine ;).

We are having an Escape VR and I've been debating about planning a reception (on my own, not through our planner so that we could save some money). We'd have no more than 20 of us. I can't really decide on which venue to have a dinner (not really a reception). So I'm thinking - let everyone have dinner whenever they want (our VR is at noon) and then we could all meet for this type of "reception" and watch fireworks. I thought about having a DP but we have a lot of diabetics in our family and I thought the cheese platter thing might be a better option instead of all the sweets.
