My parents just got back from the UK. I think my mom got the travel bug big time. While we were hanging out yesterday, she asked me if I would like to go to somewhere abroad with her, and where. I've always wanted to see France, so I said, "France!" And she said, "Sounds good! We'll plan on it for a few years in the future." She started thumbing through her travel books with tours in them, and of course, we would like to add on two days at DLP at the end or beginning of our trip.

So, I will now be frequenting this board, and seeking out any and all tips!

My mom has wanted to stay at the WL at WDW but hasn't yet....do you all think the Sequoia is a good choice?

Hi Alice28 and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

Wilderness Lodge is a deluxe while Sequoia Lodge is a moderate but comes highly recommended.
Have a look at the Hotel FAQ where most of the hotels are listed :)

Thank you Cyrano. Our trip is probably 2 years out, but I am already itching to go to the bookstore to buy some travel guidebooks of France.

I will definitely mosey over the hotel FAQ- thanks so much!

I'd definitely recommend Brits Guide to Disneyland Resort Paris by Simon Veness :thumbsup2

Alice, if you can't find that in the US (I searched high and low for books on DLRP with no luck in the US and Canada) you may find it on eBay or Amazon. Or PM me and I can send you my copy - it's not the most recent but makes for good reading, and I was going to get the latest version anyways....

Try amazon.co.uk That is where I bought my copy.

I'm off to buy my new copy! Alice, since you aren't going for awhile yet, would you like my copy that I am going to replace? I'll pop it in the mail for you if you'd like it - just send me a PM!

:teeth: Just got my updated copy off amazon.co.uk - a little pricey - for some reason the shipping was much higher than usual for this book.

Alice, your copy went in the mail yesterday while I was in Washington state, so it should reach you this week!!!

Yippee! Thank you Bavaria!

I think we have narrowed our trip to 2008...at least we have a year now! :teeth:

My husband and I are thinking of heading back to Kuwait in March for another year or two. If we do he said that we can go to DLP sometime over the summer, DLC over Christmas, and then if we stay Another year to the ones in Japan and Hong Kong!!

So I'm right with you looking for tips about France and DLP!! I've been twice, both at Christmas, but that was a while ago. I'm excited to go when it's actually warm...it was so bitter cold in December!
