Pre-paying for Hotel Stay

Has anyone ever paid for their stay ahead of arrival? (those without packages) I like to get it out of the way instead of waiting until check-out, that way I know I just have spending money to worry about.

Many do it. You need to speak with the accounting department and they will send you the forms to fill out.

When you check in they will ask you how to pay for the balance. They normally say with the CC on file which is the one you used for the deposit and reservation. So if this is the case you don't need to pre pay. Some people like making payments up front so the trip is paid for before they even go.

Me too - that's what I was asking about as well.

I get what Bluer101 was saying that pre-payment is not a requirement, but when our family travels we always pay for our hotel, tickets and excursions before we even arrive. I would love any info on how to make it happen online. If not, I'll call as Damo originally stated. What I DON'T want to happen is that I don't get some sort of receipt showing that the payment has been made and there are problems with the hotel upon arrival.

I always prepay, find the quickest way is to phone and ask for an Advance payment Form to be emailed to you, then just fill it in and fax it to them

I don't like surprises on hotel bills at check-out. I like it paid before the fun begins and I don't charge anything to the room, that way I can stay on top of the spending money. If they want money for incidental charges I will give them cash. This allows me a worry free vacation,lol.

I have been prepaying my stays for the last few years. I send a check to Loews hotel accounting with the name of hotel, res.# and the dates.
I usally book in Jan. for my Oct. trip and send them money thru out the year.
When I see a better rate I call them to have it applied.

They don't send reciepts, but I can always check my bank statement
to see when the checks go thru. Never had a problem doing this.
