Pre-Pasted Toothbrushes for your carry on bag

I found these toothbrushes that come with dried toothpaste on them. Since it's no longer wet, it's not a gel or paste so it meets with the current travel restrictions.

I found these at Deals the other day. There were 4 in a package for $1. I bought 4 packs! I also thought they'd be good for in my carry-on and also just to have with me in the parks for those times when your mouth just feels "icky" and needs a little freshening-up!

Thanks for the tip--I'm hoping by the time I get back on a plane they won't be necessary, but I'm glad to know there is a product out there. I need to brush my teeth on long flights!

You can also buy them by the case online from dental supply houses. They average about $33 for 150 brushes. Remember that you need 2-3 brushes for each day of the trip.

I think that this would be a great thing for offices to buy if the staff travels. Just keep a big box of them around for people to take with them when they need to fly.

FYI - the bargin brushes are not always a bargin. I ended up with ripped up gums becasue the paste was soooo dried that it tore up my gum line. Happened with my DS too, we were on a school camping trip and those were the only tooth brushes I had brought along. I take along Brush Ups now and my mouth is much happier

I don't think I'd buy them for the whole trip - just one for the carry on bag.

Deno2- did you moisten or soak the brush first? That doesn't sound very pleasant at all!

I can't imagine buying a box of 150 of them! LOL I don't travel THAT much!

I'm OK with the 2 'free' sample brushes for 99 cents shipping. That's all we'll need for this trip. And, hopefully, by the time I travel again things will be a little more back to 'normal'.

Brush Ups are my favorite too, but sadly they have been discontinued. I bought a few on eBay, but they aren't in store here anymore.

I thought I saw brushes like you are all describing in the Wal-mart travel section for about $99 for 2. I'm a little worried by Deno2's experience but wonder if soaking them in a small cup for a minute or 2 would do the trick?

I got my sample and the toothpaste was not hard. It was solid (dry) but it still had a bit of squish to it when I pinched it through the wrapper.

I'd say, based on the sample, that this is a safe option.

I love the brush-ups! They really work well especially for overnight flights! Can't believe they have discontinued them just when the airlines are banning toothpaste.

Guess I'll head over to ebay!
