Pre-Park Open ADRs and Magic Bands

Good morning! Help please!

I have an 8:30 pre-park opening ADR for Crystal Palace for four. Problem is my mom was watching for openings for me and made the reservation in her MDE account. She is not going on the trip. I could have sworn that you used to be able to transfer reservations among friends/family but I can't find that function anymore. Will we have a problem getting in before park open since the ADR is held by someone with out a ticket? We can list three of our party on the reservation but not the fourth because that's Mom's spot and Mom isn't going. I'm just worried they won't let us in at all or will let only three of us in.

Further complicating this is that it is the first day of Early Morning Magic and no one knows whether that impacts early ADRs.

The only real use of the Magic Band is for the ticket, not the ADR.

Three of our names are on the ADR. The fourth isn't because there isn't another space since my mom made the reservation and won't be there.

I wouldn't worry if it wasn't pre-opening. Just not sure how it would work here or what my options are for getting the reservation transferred to me, mom off of it, and our fourth party member on it.

I don't think they can transfer it. If they do, it will involve a three-way call and a ton of time on hold.

Maybe someone else can answer if I'm wrong - but I think as long as you have park tickets to get in, have the confirmation number for the ADR, and the same number of people listed on the ADR you should be fine. Since the ADR is under her name, you would just have to give her name when you check in.
I had an ADR of O'Hana breakfast (I know not the same as park opening) under my name and other party members went and checked in with my name and had no problem with me not being there.

It shouldn't be an issue. I would list three other people on the reservation and when you check in, just give your mom's name. If anyone questions it (and I don't think they will) just let them know mom isn't coming and your 4th person is taking her spot.

We've gone when it's been other people listed on our reservation in MDE, and we've also never been checked for ID or had to prove it was our ADR when checking in.

While they have always started scanning our MB when getting in the pre park ADR line, sometimes my ressie was from a different MDE account. The scan wouldn't work, so I gave the name it was under and they crossed me off the list and let me in. You should be fine just giving the name!

Last summer I made a pre-opening Crystal Palace reservation for a good friend, thinking I could transfer it, which I couldn't. I trusted her (as I hope your mom trusts you ;-) that she wouldn't bail on it and have my credit card charged. She and her family just gave my name at check in and had no problems.
