I have a t-mobile phone. You get a 15.00 card to start out with that gives you 60 minutes but I bought the 100 dollar card which gives you a thousand minutes but converts teh 15.00 to 150 minutes. And it lasts a year and then whichever amound card you add on later lasts a whole year and your minutes cost 10 cents a minute for hte rest of the phones life

Exactly what I was going to say. I've been very happy with it so far!

For anyone who got their tracphone's online- what website did you use???

I love my Tracfone. Up here in NW Wisconsin I had a hard time getting any signal. I could see a tower from my front deck and would have no signal :confused3 I got our first phone from Sam's club. My second was a flip phone off their web site. tracfone.com The flip phone even had signal here in the house. Amazing. I then purchased a lot of phones on ebay that had another flip phone in it. As I use up minutes I add them using their website and a coupon code. I really enjoy not having that monthly payment.

I have a total of 4 phone now so I am hoping that they work good at WDW. Each of us can carry one.

The only thing to remember is if you are out of your calling area it costs you two units per minute instead of one.

I think now they've changed that - each minute costs one unit, even if you're roaming.

In response to the T-Mobile question. DH and I both have T-mobile (and he got his online) we never had a problem getting a signal. He also uses T-Zones for the Sidekick and was always able to get to the internet.

The online experience was fine for him. I am more of a "show-me" gal (guess that's why I live in Missouri) and went into the store to pick up my phone.

Happy calling!

I've noticed some other people can roam at only 1 unit/minute as well but for some reason, that hasn't changed for me ~ I start roaming once I hit the next county over and it immediately starts charging me 2 units/minute  I do have the older model of the Nokia Tracfone though, so that may be a factor.

I use cingular now and it works just fine. i believe it's 10ct a min. plus $1 activation fee per day you use the phone. I don't use it that often so it's not that big a deal for me. I also had verizon prepay plan which was almost exactly the same, I only switched because i had the phone for 3 years, and it was dying, and verizon's cheapest prepay phone was like 130 dollars. Cingular had one that was like 60 so I went with that. Both have excellent coverage.

tricia.

Oh man! When I went to Disney in 2003 I had Verizon Free-Up and it was awful! Literally, one half of MGM was roaming and the other was normal. I was so confused :confused3
