Just wondering. I was looking at the Apple Scooter website and they say that taxes and shipping will be added at the end. Were there any such charges, and if so, how much?

And I sort of worry about them. I have done two searches. One shows that their web site is registered to a company in Connecticutt and was registered just barely 12 months ago. The other is the address shown on their site is a high-rise office building in downtown Orlando. It seems to be a "virtual office" and not their actual location. This would make me worry a bit. But maybe it is just some paranoia in place.

Thank you for the information Cheshire, you have just changed my mind and maybe saved me some aggravation. I had just read this thread last night and thought it was a good price and was where I would rent. I have rented in the parks my last few trips and have decide I may rent from an outside firm in Sept. But what has kept me so far is my biggest fear of getting it on the bus. Is it a hard thing to do?

Getting on the bus is not that bad as long as you can back up easily. Just be sure to turn the speed up a bit to get up the ramp of those buses that have the old ramps. Then remember to turn it back down again once you are on the ramp, so that you aren't going so fast when you get off of it. Don't be scared. If you feel you need the scooter, get one.

I truly do appologize for putting information on here regarding Apple Scooter. I have cancelled my reservation and went with Care Medical Equipment. Why try and fix something that wasn't broken. We went with Care Medical in December of 2008 and it worked very well never had any problems. Thank you for all of your input and the research. Don't try and save $35 - $40 if you are just going to get scammed. Thank you again

Uh oh! Yesterday, I reserved an ECV with them for my mom for our Dec trip. They now have my credit card information. He said he would send me an email confirming my reservation, but I haven't gotten anything yet. The price was only $213.00 for 8 1/2 days.

Hmm, I just called and canceled mine too. I also told him I did not get the email confirmation yesterday. He apologized, said he didn't know what happened as he had sent it immediately after I booked, but would send it attached to my email cancellation (which he did). He told me in the cancellation that he was canceling it per our conversation and hoped to do business with me in the future in either New York City or Orlando.

I just received estimates from 4 rental companies. I won't give all the names.
Walker Mobility had the 2nd cheapest rental cost for me. The cheapest was $12 less, but did not have or offer insurance. All damage was just charged to you. I am going to rent from Walkers.
