Pre-Ordering Food on Song?

Is it just my imagination or can you pre-order food on Song? I can't seem to find the way to do this on their web site.

Also, there are only two meal items listed - some weird vegetarian sandwich and a spinach salad with chicken. Seems like an odd selection. Are there any kid-friendly choices (besides Pringles and M&M's for $2.00 each)?

On my Song flight - they had a supply of the sandwiches and snacks. I had the cheese and crackers - which came with a few grapes. Very tasty. Big hunks of cheese. I could've used a few more crackers, but overall, a nice snack. It was $4, which wasn't too bad considering where I was and lucky to get any food!

We pre-ordered on the web site for our early November flight (just because it was something new to do). There were 3-4 wraps or other sandwiches, plus a chicken salad and a big variety of snacks. The sandwiches were good. Salad was fairly good. Within a month or so, I noticed that the selection was greatly reduced. They also had the same sandwiches/salad available on board, and it didn't appear they sold everything they had, but there was no guarantee they would have your first choice.

I am booked on a Song flight and I was reading an article in the The New York Times in the Travle section on how the author pre-ordered a salad but when she got on the plane she was told that they ran out of salads and how she should have alerted them to what she ordered during boarding. Luckly the flight atendant was able to find one for her but I would hate to order something and then have them tell me that they ran out. I was looking for it the other day as well and didn't find it. I don't think it's there anymore. I had seen the selection before and had been checking to see if I could preorder but my flight date was too far out.

Bring a few snacks and wait til you're in WDW to grab something. Even counter service, or "grab and go" at your resrt will be better and cheaper!

At the very top is "your travel tools". When I hold my cursor over that, a variety of options are displayed on the green bar just below. One choice is 'deli/bar'.

There's hardly any entree selections! We had a roast beef wrap and grilled chicken caesar wrap, I believe, plus a salad with mandarin oranges. Don't think we'll order any of those things.

I believe we had instructions to tell the 'talents' that we had pre-ordered when we boarded the plane --- they had all the info.

I bring my own food/snacks on the plane, or food purchased at the airport. Of course it's not sardines or anything messy.

We actually got a few of the big, soft pretzels right near the Song gate and waiting area. Both kids got one and DH and I had a few bites. That was plenty to get us down there. All we needed on the plane was something to drink.

The pre-ordering of food was suspended back in February I believe.

You can no longer pre-order the food on song. You have to order when you are on the plane........
