Pre-Order PhotoBook - No Charge for Extra Pages!

I recently returned from a trip to WDW, before which I pre-ordered the PhotoCD and PhotoBook. I just finished building my PhotoBook and I ended up adding 4 additional pages to the book. Here's where things get strange...

I added the finished 24-page book to my Cart, fully expecting to be charged about $6 for the extra pages. However, when I entered my promo code, it covered the entire cost of the book... extra pages included!

This sounds good, but I am terrified to actually click the Order button because I'm afraid that they will cut out my extra 4 pages and completely ruin my carefully crafted book.

I just scoured the Photopass website and was unable to find any text anywhere that indicated a page limit for the pre-ordered Photobooks. I sent an email to Photopass via thier online form... but I'm not extremely hopeful for a quick, intelligent reply.

Anybody have any idea if the pre-ordered Photobook actually has a page limit? Or will they chop out my pages without my knowledge?

Seeing as the CD has no limit, I'd imagine the book is the same.

It is my understanding the promotion code wipes all extra costs (shipping and such) ...
pre order advantages, i guess.

That certainly would be nice. But with the book there's got to be some upper limit, otherwise I'm tempted to go back and create a 50-page book. :)

I actually sent in the question about the number of pages allowed and it was never answered. let me know if you ask and get an answer cuz I'll be in the same boat soon.

I purchased the same preorder package and just completed my photobook order. I had added about 10 extra pages and put both photopass pics and my pics in the book as well. Total cost 0! :cool1: There was no extra charge for the extra pages, it was all covered in the preorder purchase. It ended up being an even better deal than I orginially thought! :teacher:

Did you actually get your book yet? I'm just afraid that the system will automatically cut out any extra pages. Although I have no real justification for this worry other than the fact that it seems too good to be true.

good to know. I was going debating if I should do the combo pack or just the CD and this made my decision for me!! :goodvibes

Awesome news! I pre ordered my photobook last week, it's looks like the deal is better than I thought. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup. It came by UPS on Wednesday & it was exactly what I had made! Just in time to show it off to family visiting for the holiday! It really is an awesome deal!
:thumbsup2

Absolutely fantastic! I just went back in and brought my total pages up to 30. My cart still says $0 balance. I love the book even more with the new extra pages. Thanks for confirming this. I'm ordering now!

I probably never would have thought to preorder a photobook next year if it wasn't for this thread. :lovestruc Hopefully it is the same deal next year when we go! Probably a stupid question, but can you add your own photos to the photobook or is it only for photopass pictures??

I know I should know the answer to this, but how did you get the offer to pre-order your PhotoCD and PhotoBook? I assume you had a package or some other sort of reservation? Also, did you have to get the PhotoCD in order to to get the PhotoBook? What was the pricing? Thanks!

Here is the link. I'm not exactly sure why it's sort of a "hidden" link. You apparently have to link to it directly.

I'm not allowed to post the link (according to this forum software), but you can get it by googling "disney photopass preorder link".

That's how I found it. I preordered the CD, now I wish I got the book as well.

funny thing is, I had to log in to my account to buy it and our Sept 1 pictures are still there. It'll be interesting to see if I can get those as well, but I'm not counting on it.

I'm gonna tell the photopass photographers that we preordered the CD so do it up good. Plus I'll get some advice from them on how and where to get the best pics.

[edit]the code is only good for 30 days so don't order too soon.

When you order it the code comes almost instantly via email along with instructions on using it.

I like the answers I'm reading !~! Can't wait to be there and order the book !

My instructions for my preorder said "Be sure to claim your photos within 30 days of your vacation!" It did not say the coupon had to be used within 30 days of purchase.

This may be slightly off topic, but I received my PhotoBook today from my Adventurs by Disney tour in September. Fantastic! If you buy one, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Here's my story.

I had a discount coupon (for reasons I explain), but after having received mine from this trip, I'd willingly spend the full cost to have one. I honestly don't know that I'd want the full CD of pictures, but we're taking my parents for their 50th wedding anniversay in May to Walt Disney World, and I can already imagine how wonderful a remembrance the PhotoBook will be.
