pre order photo pass

As a PP poster mentioned .... is there lines you have to wait in to get the Photographers to take your picture?

And as to the money back guarantee.... if i get home and I dont have enough pictures that I feel like makes it worth the $99.00 and want a refund.... What if there is one or 2 pictures you want do i still have the option to buy one or two ?

My daughter is doing BBB .. i know they have an optional imaging package ... if i get the PP prepaid package will they take photos and the photos be on there?

At popular locations, yes, there can be lines. At the front of the parks I find the lines die down after the mad rush of rope drop by mid morning , the castle and main street leading to the castle will be stay pretty busy because it's popular all the time. But even if I don't use photopass I can still ask the photographer to take a pic using my camera and will wait in line for that for the ability of me being in the pics with my family.

I believe you have a period of time where you can ask for a refund (30 days?) if you choose not to do the photopass. Call and ask for a refund. Wait until you see it taken off and refunded, then if there's only a few pics you want, go ahead and place those in your cart and order. But don't order anything until you've asked for and gotten your refund. Once it's in production there are no refunds.

My daughter did BBB one time, the photopass photographer took a ton of pics while she was being made up, they scanned my card and it showed up in my account. There's a studio across the walkway for which I didn't know about; I'm told now a photopass photographer will take pics there, I don't know if that's "the optional imaging package?" :confused3

We pre-ordered the PP for our trip..its our first trip and its one less thing to worry about. We aren't very good at taking photos and want to do some of the MagicShots. Also about the BBB question, we are doing Pirate's Leage(so not sure if same rules apply) but if you buy the Pirate's League photo, they will load them onto your PP. So its possible thats how it works with BBB.

I was in MK a few days ago and had asked about the Pirates League Photopass, and they say it's just like BBB in that they'll take pics while your child is being made up; it'll be placed on your account.

I'm glad my inability to concentrate at work today led me here. I had no idea the prices were going up so I went ahead and pre-ordered my cd for October. I was going to get it anyway so I might as well go ahead. Last year we pre-ordered the cd and the fact that I'd already spent the money got us to actually stop and have our pictures taken.

I'm pretty sure I just read on the pirates league thread that the photopass photos do NOT take pix during the make up process like they do at BBB. If true its too bad really as the lighting looks really bad in there which is not great conditions for my little purse camera I usually take to the parks.

The BB "optional photo package" is exactly what you've described, the little photos across the way. Its ok, they have a pretty bench there and the lighting is good (its not as good as the set up at disneyland which is AWESOME!) The photo package is $29.99 and then they put all the photos they took on your photopass card. I think I've read that they'll all go on whether you buy the package or not but I can't confirm as ours was included with our BBB package. We were lucky that a photopass guy (who just happened to be standing there) did some pix of my daughter in front of the little fountain just past the castle. Those turned out very pretty.

I was curious about Pirate's League for my DS since my DD had such a good time at BBB so when I passed by the podium outside of PL I asked them specifically if they have photopass photographers and they said yes. I said, they'll go in the photopass account then, right? and they said are you familiar with the Bippity Boppity Boutique? I said yes, we've done it once and they said "it's just like that". so, now I'll have to check out the Pirates League thread to get better answers and probably a more detailed explanation.

Does anyone know if I can pre-order now for my Christmas trip? Is it to far out?

You can go ahead and order now. The credit does not expire. You can only get a refund within 90 days of the preorder date, so just be 100% sure that you want it.

I've never used photopass before on any of our visits, but I'm thinking about it for this next one in May. So I have a question. If I pre-order this CD today, and then we get to the park and have two photopasses (since we may split up into two groups) can the photos from both cards be registered to this CD? At what point do I actually input the photocard numbers (or IDS, or whatever) ?

You don't enter the card number(s) until you return home. You can absolutely get more than one card. Some people get a new one each day, but you can use the same card for your whole trip, too. Just be sure to take a picture of each card number (or just write the number down somewhere). That way, if you misplace it during your trip, you can still recover your photos.:thumbsup2

You can register as many cards as you'd like onto your account. We've had upwards to 10 on some trips as a card is left in the room, we split up, have to get the special party card, etc. You have 30 days from the time the first pic is taken to register your card and you have another 30 days to tweak your pics and order the CD before your photos are removed from your account.

You can have a grand gathering of people, distribute photopass cards out; they can get their own pics, then you can upload all of the cards into one account after the trip. Or,

you can gather the cards and at the end of the trip stop by at the photopass store and transfer the pics on the multitude of cards onto one master card.

2 ways of when to upload your cards:

1)while on your trip/before your trip upload the cards' numbers onto the account. That way once the card is scanned, the photos will automatically be bridged to the online account that day, and lessens the possibility of losing the pics if someone in your party loses their card.

but if you do this, then pictures scanned into the card will also activate the within 30 days of needing to edit and order.

2)if you bring the cards home and you hadn't uploaded them yet, you have 30 days to do it. once you upload it, you have another 30 days of editing your pics and ordering them.

I pre-ordered a PP. This is the first time I am using this great service. Since I pre-ordered will I be given a number before I go to the parks or do I just get pass once ther and use the number on it when I log back into my account? :confused3

Thanks for all of the helpful tips. :thumbsup2

Some people have reported Disney sending them a pp card through the mail, with the suggestion of going online and registering them prior to their trip. This is usually when you've made the trip through Disney, bought a ticket/lodging package, something where Disney knows you're going to stay with them. The back of the card's number is what we're talking about. The intent is that once you have the card's number uploaded/registered then that card is now ready to be scanned with the pictures; kind of like a credit card ready to go. They scan the pics and now it automatically is deposited into your account.

So, if you don't get a pp card through the mail; most people will obtain them when they meet a photographer and ask for a pic. That's usually me. They'll take the pic and scan a card and give that one to you. That's the card's number you should then use to type into your online account. The card now has an address, name etc. to tie those pics to.

I never register my PP card before our trip. Reason is your 30 day to order clock starts the day your first photos are taken. If you want longer to do your edits you'll have to pay extra to extend your date.

When you get your PP card my suggestion is to take a picture of the back of the card showing the numbers. If the card is lost all you need to upload your photos is the number. Also (this is a hint from a PP photog at Disneyland) as soon as you get your card use a Sharpie to make some kind of mark on your card so when it's handed back to you after a photo is taken you'll know you got the right card back. I've never lost a card but it doesn't hurt to plan in advance.

Also you can have as many cards as you want. If you forget to bring the card just get a new one. Also if you have many people in your family you can have multiple cards for when your group splits up.
