Pre-order meals from app?

Does anyone know if there is an allergy ordering option? I'm gluten free and it would save LOADS of time standing at the counter waiting for my food if I could order ahead.

In the above order sample, I see the visa for payment option. I'm guessing it automatically goes the credit card you have saved on MDE?

Yes, that was the cc I have saved on my MDE, and I think you could opt to change to a different card, but only credit card.

How long can you order in advance? Do you give it a set time you're going to be there and eat? (ie., can we order at 9am while we're waiting in line for an 11:30am pickup) If you can't order in advance, how long does it take from ordering for your food to be ready?

From reading the Pandora thread, you order, then when you're there, you go back in and tell the app to tell them you're there, and you're food is ready in a couple of minutes. When I placed my fake order above, the app informed me I could pick up any time before 11pm.

BOG is a different, pre-order system that does take the DDP.

Where do you find this in the MDE app? I looked and can't find it? Can you walk me through the steps of what to go into first, etc...

If you look under "My Plans" you will see an "Order Food" option - you can then choose the restaurant. Hope that helps!

It's only available when you're 30 days out to order. (I could be wrong about 30 - for some reason 28 is also in my head about it. I'm 60 days out today, so I can't check for you, and I don't remember off the top of my head.) It's very easy to do, though. I've done it a few times now, and never had any issues.

"Order Food" isn't the same option as the ordering for BOG. BOG has it's own, different system.

We have only done it at BOG but it was absolutely perfect there. Saved standing in line to order and food was there in a matter of minutes.

I think OP is asking about mobile ordering, rather than the pre-order system at BOG. They are very different things.

It's super easy. Just open the app, click on your MDE icon, click on Order Food, select the restaurant, select Order Food, rest is pretty self explanatory. You go to the location and there will be a place to indicate on the app that you have arrived and they'll prepare your order. At the restaurant you'll see the Mobile pick up location. You approach when the app notifies you the order is ready, show them the app and take your order.

Actually, I just did a ghost order and saw they are not accepting any discounts "just yet". I didn't see Picos Bill on there yet so I'll update the app and see what happens.

They have you click a button on the app when you are at the restaurant and want them to start to prepare your order. You can theoretically click the button whenever you want but you want to be there to pick it up when the app informs you that the order is ready to pick up so you need to be there, or really close, when you tell it to prepare your order. We always did it as we were walking in the door.

No, it will not apply a discount

Yes, I understand that the final version is a little different. My point is that is a totally separate system from the BOG ordering system. I should have said used instead of uses gps. I think that it is a really great addition if it works well.

I'm not sure how many of the locations that do mobile ordering have an AP discount. We only used it at Satu'li Canteen, which wouldn't have one anyway, I don't think. I'd have to refresh my memory on which QS has one right now. I know it's not many. Anyway, worth playing with if you want to eat at one that doesn't have any discounts

As of right now it doesn't appear any of them do which is why we won't be using it very much (except for Satu' li). We usually make a stop at Flaming Tree and Picos Bill and I like the convenience but it's not worth an 20%
