Pre-order meals from app?

We have only done it at BOG but it was absolutely perfect there. Saved standing in line to order and food was there in a matter of minutes.

I just read on the Disney Food Blog that it will soon be available at Tomorrowland Terrace, Cosmic Ray's, Pinocchio Village Haus, Pecos Bill's and Columbia Harbour House. I think it's great. We'll be there in late July and I hope we can give it a try.

Us poor people who can't get the ap on our phones are just out of luck. My phone is not updatable so I just use MDE through a web browser while in the parks (slow as all get out too). I've been putting off buying a new phone just for the Disney ap. Seems like $700 for a phone for one ap is a bit much even for a die hard disney fan.

It only takes credit cards for payment as of now. Not even dining plan credits can be applied, nor can cash be used.

The new preordering is a bit different than the BOG pre-orders.

Same for us. Hopefully by the time we get there in September it will accept the dining plan, since we plan on having breakfast in Pandora.

This works great. Done it at BOG. Bad thing to come from it will be job losses. Not just here at Disney, but when all McDonalds, Wendys, ect. implement it too. Even seen where it will be used at Walmarts to pay for stuff without having to go to a check out. Now I am not going to lie, this automation is right up my ally. But, it will create job losses across the board.

The new mobile ordering does not work with the dining plan. You can see it right here - I just did a mock order.


BOG is a different, pre-order system that does take the DDP.

Starbucks has had it for a while now, and I don't see fewer baristas - they're just busy making the coffees!

We are going in a few weeks. I have bought Disney gift cards to use while we are there, so hopefully they will add the AP discounts and add the ability to pay with gift cards. We would use this where we could.

So all those people who wait in line and don't start considering what they'll order until they get to the cashier? Now they can do it virtually instead of holding up guests with older/no phones? I'm in!

Does anyone know if there is an allergy ordering option? I'm gluten free and it would save LOADS of time standing at the counter waiting for my food if I could order ahead.

In the above order sample, I see the visa for payment option. I'm guessing it automatically goes the credit card you have saved on MDE?
