I know anyone with a pre-opening ADR can get in at the same time, but as far as arriving at BoG goes, will people with 8:00 ADRs be seated before those with 8:20 ADRs or is it a free for all? If we get in early and take time for some pictures on the way to breakfast will we find ourselves waiting behind people who have later ADRs?

So - kinda. If you have an 8 am ADR and get there at 8:15 - folks with 8:05-8:20 ADRs COULD have arrived before you and could be in line/seated. It is seat yourself. So - once they let someone check-in at the podium at the end of the bridge - it's a free for all. I do recommend pre-ordering to save waiting in line. I'm not sure exactly how long they let folks check-in early - but I know it's at least five minutes.

I don't think BOG is crazy at this hour, IMO. So - as long as you aren't LATE - I wouldn't let this influence my exact arrival time.

When the restaurant opens, at least at CRT and Crystal Palace, they aren't terribly concerned with the exact time of your reservation - they want to get seats filled, and get the restaurant and the characters flowing. At that point, 8:05, 8:15, 8:20, it's pretty much all the same. (I assume they draw the line somewhere, but maybe that line is drawn only by who gets admitted to the park early.)
Presuming it's the same at Be Our Guest, every minute you wait is going to allow someone to check in before you, and at that point, you've lost your priority to that guest.

That's what I was afraid of. Annoying that if I arrive at 7:50 for my 8:00 ADR, someone with an 8:20 gets to go before us.

The ADR is not a reservation at a specific time. When you check in you are placed on the list for the next available table for your group size, but...anyone checking in before you needing the same size table will be ahead of you on the list regardless of whether their ADR time is before, the same time or after yours. This is not unique to BOG, but at any DW restaurant that takes reservations so while it seems like a 8:00 res should be seated before an 8:20 reservation it is not how the system works.

It bugged me a little when we were there...but it is what it is. We enjoyed it anyway and would have been the first on 7DMT had they not been filming a promotional video. It opened about 30 minutes late that day.

I'm confused with how pre-ordering works. I'd read that even if you pre-order it doesn't save that much time because you still have to stand in line and confirm your order at the kiosk anyway. Is that not correct, and if you pre-order you can skip the line (or use a different line?)? I want to pre-order for our early breakfast next month but DH is digging in his heels and doesn't see the benefit.

I had an 8 am and wanted to be done asap in case of 7DMT opening ... pre-ordered even though I never have before due to so many complaining of issues. We were sent to the left line so I do believe we got to a kiosk about 5 minutes or so sooner but when we tried to find out meal ... nothing. So I had to order anyway. No big and we did get in the shorter line.

It saved time for us. We did review our order on a kiosk but it was very quick. Our line was shorter. I was glad we did it.

Just get there super early. Then you don't have to be annoyed at anyone else's reservation time.

I remember scrambling for a table when we went for lunch back in 12/2013, but when we did pre-park opening breakfast this past May, we were shown to a table by someone when we paid (pre-ordered) ... was that a fluke?

Thank you!!! Makes a lot more sense now. I think that'll help convince him. Can we pre-order the night before, or at a certain point is the option no longer available? He is (understandably) worried about making his selection so far out and then being in the mood for something else come time for our breakfast.

I think you can pre-order as late as the night before. I know I reviewed my the night before because I couldn't remember what I ordered! Pre-ordering did save a fair amount of time. I walked down the bridge, at the end they asked me if I had pre-ordered, I said yes, I was directed to a person with an iPad (there is also a kiosk), he scanned my magic band, confirmed my order, and handed me a round thing to place on my table that I selected myself. There was definitely a line to order food that morning - at my arrival time (about 8:30) - that line was to the entrance of the building - so definitely a 5-10 minute wait.

We had an 8:15 ADR for this past Sunday and got in with the hordes at 7:45. There was no benefit to preordering. We kept asking the CMs but they just waved us through with the group. Maybe it's different on another day? We were out by 8:45 and got to ride 7 Dwarves twice before opening, so it was all good I guess.

I don't know this for certain, but I think they seat based on ADR time, regardless of when you check in. The latest trip we took, we were checking in very close to ADR times (like within 5 minutes) for many of our meals and getting seated almost immediately and definitely seated before other people who were already waiting and I'm assuming must have had later ADR times than me. For the meals that we did check in early (15 - 20 minutes), we always waited longer and did notice that people who checked in after us got seated before us. To me this suggests that if you have an 8:05 ADR and you check in right after someone who has an ADR for 8:15, you will be seated first.

We ordered the night before....You can even change your order that morning if you change your mind. Of course, depending on your group size, that could eat up the time I assume you are trying to save by ordering early. But you CAN do it! Also, although it may have changed recently, we were not seated according to time. When you got there for pre park opening reservation, no matter the time, you got in line and then found your own seat. A lot of people were already in the dining room at 8:10 who had later reservations. I was surprised and a little frustrated at first, but it had no impact. We received our food within 5 minutes of sitting down. We were out and first in line for 7DMT (didn't get to ride bc they opened late but it was an unusual circumstance).

My daughter had an 8:20 adr and had to wait until 8:15. From what I read, it depends on the day and the Cast Member.

I'm looking forward to seeing inside BOG for the first time this trip :)

I just reread and missed that this was gor breakfast. My previous comment is specific to TS.

For our pre opening breakfast ADR, we were given a yellow rose (which I believe represents pre order) when we checked in, but put in the same line as everyone else. At the front of the line they either direct you to a kiosk to place your order or directly to a cash if you ore order. I don't think if makes any difference what time your ADR is for, although I suspect they probably turn you away if you are too early and make you wait until 15 minutes or so before to check in.
