Looking at a one day park visit in November and thinking we may end up there on Nov 14th which is the day before holidays kick off at the parks. Is anything usually closed or otherwise “different” the day before the holidays start? Debated going the 15th but it’s a significant price difference and since we visit the parks 2-3x a year, hard to justify spending the extra to see decorations lol we could also go on the 21st, but not sure if it gets busier and busier the closer it gets to thanksgiving.

It’s definitely busier the closer you get to Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving week but…but…the holidays!!! 😍

I’d definitely have fomo if I went on the cusp of the holidays

All the decorations will be up by then. The only thing you won't be able to see is holiday entertainment and food. Holiday merch is usually out in the parks by October with the "good stuff" selling out first week of November.

Snow is usually up on the castle by end of October as well as lamppost garlands. Tree goes up around the first week of November.

Now, this was a while ago, but I went once on the Sunday and Monday before Thanksgiving. The Sunday was awesome and not terribly crowded. The Monday was a nightmare and the most crowded park day that I've ever experienced. I was very glad that I was able to accomplish so much on the day before. I don't know if that pattern still holds - I would imagine that both days would be busier than they were at that time, but the ratio may still be similar.

This is great to know!!! So if we go on the 14th, we will likely still be able to see it all. Amazing. Thanks so much!

Most of the decorations should already be up…
But if I recall correctly last year there was hardly any entertainment… no parade, no fantasmic … not much of anything… Halloween entertainment has stopped and the Christmas entertainment hasn’t started…

If it doesn’t really matter if you go on the 14th or the 21st I’d probably pick the 21th to have the full Christmas experience… but I love Christmas time and decorations and am just enjoying the park…
If you want to ride as much as you can and don’t plan to watch the parade or such then the 14th might be better…

Crowds are a wild guess anyways because you never know how well the rides are staffed and how many are down for refurbishment or temporary broken…

Tiana’s Bayou adventure is still supposed to open this year if I didn’t miss anything… so this could bring some extra crowds if it opens in time for the Christmas season…
