Hoping someone here on the camping board can give me some insight as to why FW is the only resort to have adopted a "Pre-Holiday" season in early December?? Does it have anything to do with an onslaught of seasonal RVers or something? Why not the other resorts as well??

Because they can......

FW has higher occupancy rates than the hotels, thus they can command a higher cost. The sites will fill no matter what, seasonal RVers or just folks on vacation - FW is popular. As I understand it FW also dropped the Winter Settlers Rate (the long term rate) this year.

Ugh, that's maddening, isn't it?!! Well, regardless, for a family of 5 on a budget, you still can't beat the rate at FW at any time of year! :earsboy:
