HI Guys

As we moved our holiday a day earlier to take advantage of a better deal, I have had to cancel my great room deal at the Premier Inn Channel Tunnel. We are leaving on the 6.20 Shuttle Train.

The night before is all booked up, as is the A20 Premier Inn which is the next closest.

I need to use Premier Inn (ideally) as I have £60 worth of vouchers to use!

My options are to stay in Ashford Central (V close to M20) or the Dover one?

Can anyone with local knowledge advise me which is best?

Hiya,

We are going the same day (same shuttle even!) and are staying at the Ashford Central Premier Inn. We've stayed there before when using Eurostar and really liked it. It's not as close as Dover to the eurotunnel terminal but for us we would pass it anyway so Dover is technically out of our way.

It's not too long a drive from Ashford to Folkestone and I'm hoping that at 5:30 in the morning we shouldn't encounter much traffic! :thumbsup2

Just realised you're from Somerset too! weird!! :lmao:

If you keep bumping into us/passing us on the road then I apologise in advance but I'm not a stalker!! :rotfl:

Yay!!! Great a fellow Dis-er.

I have just booked for Premier Inn Ashford Central. Stayed there last time we caught the Eurostar and was perfectly happy with our room (and the lovely staff!) Just a shame that this time we won't be able to take advantage (and we really do take advantage...) of the fantastic all you can eat brekkie at the TableTable next door!

Guess it will have to be cold brekkie in the car on the way to Folkestone.

Oh and Robear................ we are also in the same Disney Hotel....I feel a convoy coming on...............

We've stayed in the same retail park a few times. We had an early crossing last time and got bacon rolls from the drive through McDonalds right next to the Premier Inn. I think it's open 24 hours.

Didn't even realise that there was a Premier Inn passed junction 11A, we have always stayed at Eureka Park or North (both junction 9) and used the McDonalds at the Eureka Park for a hot breakfast - they open at 6am but drive thru is open 24 hours.

Ashford Central junction 10 also has a McDonalds very near it.

That's so funny! Twin trips! :rotfl:

We'll be in DHs company car which is sign written with a WSM number on it so should stick out like a sore thumb!

The first time we went on the Eurostar we changed in Lille which meant an early train and missing breakfast so I bought fruit, pain au chocolate and orange juice cartons from the little tesco in ashford. Though I think DH and LOs would prefer the mcdonalds option!
