Pre-cruise plan?

Cruising on the Wonder in late Oct 2009 (Sun - Thur) and then adding a couple of days at the parks after. We'll be flying in on Satuday and I was hoping to secure a studio at BLT. I am currently waitlisted, but nothing yet. Should I keep trying or book a room closer to the port? Haven't got airfare yet, but we are for sure flying in the day before. If I did get the studio at BLT, all we were planning to do was swim and go to T-Rex or another restaurant at DTD. Then wake up and drive to the port. Thanks.

If you plan on dining at DTD, why not book a studio at SSR? You could take a nice walk to DTD and back.

if you want to stay on points I would book somewhere and still stay on the wait list for BLT

I thought about SSR, which is my home resort by the way, but wanted to see what BLT was like. I'm starting to lean toward booking a room near the port. BUT, I will wait a little longer to see if my waitlist for BLT comes through.

We enjoyed staying at the Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach before our recent cruise - two bed suites are nice and include good breakfast and free parking (for the whole cruise if you need it). Less than 10 mins from the boat.
