Pre-buy Photo Connect question

Another newbie question: If I pre-buy the 3-day photo connect card, can I pick it up the night before we go to the parks or do I need to wait until the first day we are in the parks???

I am 90% sure that you have to pick up in the parks. If there is a CityWalk option, I didn't notice it.
