Pre-booking Seats??

How soon before you fly can you pre-book your seats with virgin???
I have been reading about the diy checkin 24 hours before & sounds good but i pre-booked my seats quite a while before we flew last time we went but cant remember exactly when, can it be done online too?
Any info would be great - thanks

you can book on-line with VA 11 months before you fly - sort out meals requests and seats etc.

Hi there,

You can pre-book your seats online.

Go to Virgin Atlantic's website
Click on 'Manage Your Flights'
Click on 'Retrieve Booking'
Enter your details and click on 'Retrieve Booking'
Scroll down a bit and click on 'Edit'
Click on the 'Seat Map' button for each flight and choose your seats

That should do it. If you don't get on with that you can always call them and select your seats over the phone.

You can request seats, but they can, and do, change them at any time.

Yes, please don't be misled and think you are pre-booking them. It's a seat request, so you can request a seat, but there's a chance that you won't get it.

I'd kinda like it if they allowed you to pre-book for a fee - that would be much simpler and people would know that they were getting what they wanted then.

Thanks everyone, we did get the seats we requested last time, i will give it a try, but i'm afraid i cant do it yet as we're not going till October 06
But the months do seem to be flying by
We are getting married out there & my parents are also coming (they have never been to disney before) They booked virgin direct we booked through a TA but we are on the same flight so i would really like to try & get us sat together, it may be easier to ring them!

Yes, you can. We've always gotten our requested seats when completing DIY check-in.
