Pre Booking seats with Direct Holidays

Got my tickets through yesterday!! Today got a letter from them saying I can pre-book seats for 15pounds each person. Is this necessary - I plan being at the airport at least 3 hours before the flight - would it really be the case that me and my Mum wouldn't be sat together?

Anyone have any experience of this - is it worth it for the piece of mind?

There are two reasons I would prebook, one to keep a large party together, and secondly to obtain seats with additional legroom. By the time you have the tickets, the latter is unlikley to be possible, and the former is not usually required if you are turning up early, and rarely for a group of two.

OTOH peace of mind is where you find it. Enjoy your holiday.

Regards,
Francis.

We booked with Direct Holidays last year. We never prebooked our seats with them.
We were up the airport nice and early ;) we didn't have any problems getting the four of us sitting together.

We fly with direct on Saturday and we are not prebooking our seats. I thought it was expensive just to book a seat, from what I read you had to pay even more for seats with extra legroom. We are a party of 4, 2 adults and 2 children and as long as we get 1 child sitting with one adult we will be happy.

ONLY I WEEK TO GO......

I wouldn't bother unless there were a large party who needed to travel together, whenever I've travelled as a 2, 3, or 4 I've never prebooked and always ended up seated together :)
