Prayers Please

As some of you may remember, I lost my husband, Mat, to pancreatic cancer last year after an eight month battle.

Fast forward to today. I should be sitting at 50's Prime Time Cafe right this minute having dinner with my friend, Carmen. Instead, I'm recovering from a serious heart attack I had last Tuesday :scared1:

My job right now is to rest. I do have damage to my heart as I waited too long to go to the ER (denial, I guess). According to my cardiologist, I will start cardiac rehab in January.

As you can well imagine, my son, an only child, was pretty upset when this happened. He seems to be calming down a little, but I know he is worried. Please keep us in your prayers.

Thank you - Marilyn

 and prayers.

I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip. Please take care of yourself.

:hug:I'm so sorry to hear your news. I pray for your healing and recovery and for you and your son. You wil be in my thoughts.

Oh MY GOSH, Marilyn!

I was just looking you up somewhere else, wondering what you've been up to. I was thinking about you, and so searched here (going through some WDW withdrawls...).

I do so hope you are feeling okay! I wish I could do something to help other than offer my friendship. If you need anything, email me. Or if you are bored (recovery will do that) just drop me a line.

Hope your son is taking everything well. It's a lot, to lose your dad, and then have your mom get sick.

Hope you recover quickly.

Hugs,

Amy:hug:

I'm sending out good thoughts to you and making a mental note about not waiting to get to the ER. Feel better soon!

Thank you. This is the most important part of my story. Women have different heart attack symptoms than men. There is no "elephant sitting on your chest". If you ever experience a cold/clammy feeling, nausea, pain in your jaw, tightness in your chest, etc. go to the ER. DO NOT WAIT!

My doctor told me that once I get better, he would like me to tell my story to women's groups. I am a classic example of a woman having a heart attack and waiting to go to the ER. Apparently, it happens a lot.

Amy - Thanks. I sent you a p.m.

:hug: I hope you have a speedy recovery. I'll keep you and your son in my prayers.

Adding my prayers for your speedy recovery. I hope you & your son enjoy a very happy & healthy New Year.

Marilyn... I thought I responded to this as I was so upset when I read it.. Please know that I am holding you and your son in my heart through the holidays... We have both been robbed of our wonderful husbands to that vicious beast Pancreatic cancer and then hit again with something else that causes issues and more treatment for both of us..

Please pm me and let me know how you are doing when you get a chance.. hugs...
Marsha

I often brood over the strange and rare forms of diseases which claim our loved ones, yet take for granted the #1 killer of humans. No "evil beast" within, yet our own parts fails us.

Any such denial is in the past and you're still with us. Please, for your son's sake, not ours, do whatever it takes to remain here. He needs you now more than ever.

from another Marilyn, take care of yourself and be faithful during rehab....lifting you and your son in prayer.

Sometimes life isn't fair. I'm so sorry that this happened to you, and believe me, I know how much it sucks.

My only consolation for you is that my prayers are with you, and maybe you're tackling all the bad stuff for several years right now, and you'll have epic moments of smooth sailing for the foreseeable future.

It will be better.

All my best.

I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and kind wishes. I am feeling much better and I am hoping for a complete recovery.

Merry Christmas and a Very Happy, Healthy New Year to all my Dis Friends!
