Prayers Please :( UPDATE Post #10

We found out this evening that my grandmother-in-law (Martha) had a rather severe stroke earlier today. She is in the hospital, but is unresponsive to everything. We are all just very sad and hoping that she isn't in any pain. Please keep her (and all of us! ) in your prayers.

You are all so wonderful and I thank you for your kind words and prayers. Reading your posts has really overwhelmed me with emotion and has brought me peace. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day for my family. I will keep you updated as we hear more.

My in-laws called last night to let us know that Martha's heart rate slowed down and then stopped while she was in the hospital last night. The doctor had a drip of morphine for her so that if at any point they thought she might have pain, they could give some to her. We all think she passed peacefully, essentially having a stroke in her sleep from which she never recovered. We are all doing okay, though I know this is hard for my husband (last grandparent) and my mother-in-law. Thank you all so much for your kind blessings and my God continue to work in your lives.

Heidi, I am so sorry to hear about your dear GMIL, but thankfully sounds as tho she went in peace. Altho it's heartbreaking to lose our sweet GM's, their wonderful memories live in our hearts forever. My heart and prayers go out to you and yours at this difficult time . Godspeed ^i^

I am so sorry for your loss. Martha is a beautiful name....it was my great grandmother's name and is my daughter's middle name....

Thank you all again so much! There is comfort in knowing that she was pain free and we can have a celebration of her long wonderful life. Death is difficult, but I know she is happy now in ways that we can't yet fully comprehend. Blessings to you all!
