Prayers, please...(Update, p. 4)

:hug: I will keep your dad and family in my prayers.

Keeping your Dad in my thoughts and prayers.

Sent you an e-mail Gail.

Am keeping your dad and mom in my thoughts and prayers, as well as you and the boys.

((hugs))

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and comforting words.

We're all trying to keep a positive outlook on things, even though the doctors have been less than positive.

Yesterday, my brothers and sister came to the hospital. My brother brought a Yankees hat, and my father really brightened when he saw it. He is slowly processing what we are telling him; not sure if he understands everything, but the Yankees hat was definitely a good sign. He even put it on my mother's head - and she's a confirmed Mets fan! Now that's love. :)

He does seem to have some sort of infection, though - he had a fever yesterday, but was responding to meds.

We're taking things one day at a time, and just trying to keep my mother on a semi-even keel.

Thank you all again for your support - I'll try and keep everyone updated.

Continued Prayers for a speedy recovery for your Dad.Glad he is improving.That is all you can do is take it one day at a time.

Misty

I'm saying a prayer that your dad will improve more and more each week. Glad to hear that you are staying positive. That might do as much for him as anything!

I'm so sorry to hear this about your dad, Gail. :(

Here's a wish and a prayer that he has the fullest recovery possible. {hug}

I'm so very sorry to hear this Gail. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers!

Hey Gail, sorry I did not reply earlier - have not been online.

I have your dad, mom and you in my thoughts and prayers!! Sorry to hear about this and I am thinking lots of positive things. I am here for you if you need me. Love you. {{{hugs}}}

Oh Cookie, I just saw this today. I am so sorry. We went through this with my grandfather. The surgery that was supposed to help him made him worse.:( My prayers are with you and your family.:hug: I hope your dad gets stronger every day.

awww that's sweet Gail. It's also a great sign that he's "processing" stuff.

But please do tell him that one of your internet DIS friends says ......"Yankees Suck!!!" THAT oughta get him goin' ;) :teeth:

more hugs and prayers on the way :)

Gail, I'm so sorry, I'm just reading this...

May God heal your sweet Daddy. I lost mine a year ago yesterday and I know how scared you are.

I know whenever brought up the Mets to my Dad, he'd smile no matter WHAT condition he was in!

God bless and let us know how he's doing,

Robinrs

My father has developed pneumonia. The doctor has said that without him being on a respirator, he will probably only live another 2 or 3 days.

He had a living will, and we decided as a family that he wouldn't want this...Again, I'm at a loss...

Please pray for my mother to find the strength to cope with all of this over the next few days. :(

Oh wow... I'm so sorry, Cookie. I wish there was something I could do or say to make this better for you. Please take some small comfort in knowing that your entire DIS family is here for you. :grouphug:

I am so very very sorry, Cookie :( My prayers are with your mom and you all at this time :grouphug:
