Prayers & pIxie Dust - Long weekend for our family****SECOND UPDATE PAGE TWO 8/5***

Please say a pray or think good thoughts for our family. My brother is in the hospital in critcial care. Spent 1st half of weekend in ICU. Many serious injuries from a hit and run accident. Our family is so thankful that he is alive and will be okay eventually, but has a long road ahead.

Please think good thoughts for us and that they catch the JERK (and that is putting it too nicely) who decided to drive under the influence, presumably, hit him from behind while he was driving his motorcycle and then flee the scene like a coward! This is the nicest way I have been able to put this this weekend!!! The uncensored version of my feelings is not appropriate for the DIS!!!

poohbear, I'm so very sorry for your brother and your family, BUT thankfully he will recover in time, THAT is the most important thing! I do pray for strength for him and your family, to get through the next few weeks/months. And I pray they do catch the person who hit him, and that they will punish him/her to the full extent of the law. I can certainly understand how you feel about this person!! ((hugs))

Thank you all. Hopefully today they will do two more surgeries to help stabilize and set some other breaks he has. There has been progress in the investigation, but I am not sure what I am able to talk about.

The community has really rallied around my brother and our family. He Seeing this much love and support has really been overwhelming for our family.

He's in good spirits and fiesty, which is good!!! He is determined to walk soon!!! We all know that he has the strength and conviction to do it!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your brother and his family. My DH is also a firefighter and they are a very close knit family I too know this from experience when my DH had a near fatal accident.

If a neighbor from the north can do anything just send me a PM. I know how difficult this can all be.
