Prayers needed for a young friend please!

There is a very sweet young man that I have known most of his life that is in the battle of his life right now. He is in a coma laying in a hospital bed tonight. It seems that two idiots decided to drag him from a truck and run over him before leaving him in the middle of the road on Saturday.

I ask that you please keep this Spencer in your prayers, thoughts, and such. I was laying in bed almost asleep when I heard the news tonight. Honestly, I had seen a link to an article about a teen getting dragged by a truck earlier tonight, but I just didn't have it in me to read such a sorrowful story. When I heard the 16 year old's name, I instantly awoke. I can't imagine how his mom and dad are getting through this. They are very sweet people. It's so freakin' unfair.

He's still in a coma. Rumors abound, but there is still no clear cut answer as to why this happened. One rumor, which seems to be gathering steam is that he was thought to be gay and this is a hate crime. I don't know anything more at this point. I just pray that he comes out of the coma and is blessed with a full recovery.

Nope.....the family has stopped talking to just about everyone for now. They are going about the business of caring for Spencer and attempting to remain positive. Oddly enough, the cops hired one of my coworker's hubby's as a PI for this case. The rumors are dying down since this isn't all over the news right now. I am just hoping that they lock those idiots up and throw away the key. I know that they were hoping to have the judge deny bail for both of them.

That is odd, I would think your local law enforcement has it's own investigative division, even the district attorney's office.
Hopefully, they can gather enough evidence to prosecute and convict, but most of all that your friend recovers.
