Prayers for my father

I hope this makes you feel better, my father-in-law has had bladder cancer for years (and years). It's kinda like skin cancer, you have to be checked regularly and occasionally have to have "things" removed (my father-in-law just had one of these recently). Also my young nephew-in-law (my niece's husband) was also diagnosed with this. Had one removed (and another more recently), but it's the same routine, regular checkups are important!

Best of luck!

Prayers for your dad from our house - hang in there!

Thankyou for all the well wishes and prayers. It means the world to our family. Everyone is on pins and needles right now. Were all praying for the best. Have been doing tons of research on bladder cancer. Dad goes in for his second stint tommorow morning. Its supposed to be an out patient surgery if all goes well. So please keep him in your prayers.

Sending prayers, love and good thoughts to your and your entire family.

Try not to worry too much. I know it's hard, and easier said than done, but is the best thing. Worrying does not help. It just weakens you and you need to stay strong. I went through something similar with my Dad a few years back. So scary. Thought many times he was going to die. He did not. All that worry for nothing. It's a useless emotion.:grouphug:

A Quick update: Dad had his last set of stints put in his heart today. Surgery went well, but he did have some complications post op from his cytoscopy on wednesday. They had to give him a foley cath due to some bladder spasms which was making it difficult to urinate. From what the urologist said its basicly a balancing act between his heart meds and hus UT problems. The high doses of plavix and asprin are causing some UT bleeding, but nothing serious. Just needs to stay hydrated basicly. He is in good spirits and the nurses have been very encouraging about not assuming anything with the mass they found until they get the pathology results. Were keeping our heads high, our attitudes positive, and our faith in God's hands. Thankyou for all the well wishes and prayers it is all greatly appreciated.
