Hi everyone. I'm still relatively new here, so I apologize if this is too forward.
I wanted to ask for prayers for a very good friend of mine. She is 37 weeks pregnant with her first baby (a girl!) and is going through something I can't even imagine. Her mother went into the hospital last week. She had lung cancer, but went into remission last year. The doctor told my friend today though that the cancer has spread to her mom's liver and that there was nothing more they could do. They will try to make her as comfortable as possible, but they do not expect her to make it to my friend's due date.
I cannot even imagine the pain my friend is going through right now. She's very close to her mom, and back in middle school, our very tight group of 4 all got very attached to one another's families. My friend's mom was like another mom to me when my parents were going through a very bad divorce.
Please send prayers/pixie dust/healing vibes for my friend and her mom. I hope upon hope that this wont mean goodbye and that this is all something that will pass, but sadly, it sounds like that is not the case. I really hope that my friend's mom will get to meet her granddaughter and that my friend will be able to go back to planning for her arrival with a happy, healthy mom.
Thank you so much for reading this and sending healing thoughts their way.
