It has been awhile since I have been on this website, but I know you people have a strong prayer chain, and I know a family that really needs it.

My cousin's wife is 31 years old, with a 2 year old little boy and a 2 week old little girl. She went to the doctor last week with a low grade fever. The doctor ran test. They were told that she had a tumor on her kidney and spots on her lungs. Today they removed one of her kidneys due to the tumor being on it, and told her it was renal cell carcinoma that had spread from her kidneys to her lungs and was in her bones.

I'm afraid there isn't much time left for this young family. But I also know no matter what the doctors and text books say, there is always hope and a prayer.

So please put Jessica and Brian on your prayer list, as this family truely needs them.

Thanks!

I am so sorry... but first I want to say I have a friend whose husband is battling renal cell... it has been two years and he is still here and he is working still.. I have no idea what the future will hold for him, but I am hoping that he continues to be here for his wife and family.. In saying that, hopefully she responds to chemo and has more time with her family..

Hugs, try and stay positive for her, you are good to ask for prayers here and we will add her to our list..

She made it through surgery. The doctor put her in a room and told the family to spend as much time with her as they could.

Just said a prayer for this family.

I absolutely HATE cancer ....my prayers go out to that family .

Prayers ascended for Jessica and Brian. What a tragic thing.

Jessica had another bone scan yesterday and the test have come back much better. The doctors have decided after a more detailed scan that the spots on her bone, are just from normal aging. They are going to do more test, but they (the doctors) are rethinking the bone cancer. Jessica is bouncing with the news.

Her doctors have asked the family to go to a different hospital and get a 2nd opinion on the cancer in her lungs. The two hospitals plan to team together to see if she should have the parts of her lungs with spots removed and then chemo, or chemo and see what happens. She will be meeting with them next week.

They were told this morning, if she continues to do as well as she is doing they will let her go home some time this weekend or the first of next week.

Please keeps this family in your prayers and thoughts.

My prayers are with Jessica & Brian, I had my left kidney out in 2005 with the same cancer. I was lucky my cancer had not spread. God's plan is unclear but I believe he has a plan for Jessica as hard as it is to except.

Thoughts and prayers with her and the family. Cancer is a horrid thing! Wish them nothing but the best as they get their 2nd opion.

Sorry, I haven't updated. I have been out of the country and away from my computer.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers for this family.

Just a quick update on Jessica.

The doctors have confirmed that it's stage 4 renal cell carcinoma. She is going Nov 1st and having the spots on one of her lungs removed. From there she is set to start Chemo. After she has recovered from the 1st surgery, they will go back in and remove the spots on the other lung.

Jessica is feeling up beat and is determined to beat this!

Keep this family in your thoughts as they move forward in their fight.

Again, Thank you all so much.

God bless and give this young woman strength. Please also be with her family during this great time of need.
