Prayer / PD Sub-Forum

Probably because that thread doesn't get much action. It looks like you are the only one who has posted on it this year.

Personally, I like the seperate threads. It makes it much easier to see the updates.

I agree.

Great. Have seperate threads all you want in a sub-forum. Then, people can request all they want, 24 hours a day.

What harm are they? If you don't want to read them, just skip them. Kind of like political, vents, horrid news stories, etc.

eta: Hope that one thread on the front page doesn't bother you too much today...

Is this what the "caring and compassion" subforum is for?

These threads are clearly defined, and they are so numerous, it would help clean out the main forum if they were in a sub-forum. They also really only apply to a sub-segment of the board population, and aren't applicable to everyone. A religious call to action that (as far as I've ever seen) only applies to Christians.

I don't get what's wrong with them on this board.

Might I suggest you fill out an application to become a mod so that you can help get these boards to run more efficiently??

People who believe in the power of prayer (or pixie dust, or good thoughts sent their way) may be posting on the Community Board because it's a very active forum and they're more likely to get responses.

And many people probably aren't aware of the Caring and Compassion forum.

If you don't like those threads, just skip over them!

Didn't realize that pixie dust was a form of religion.

I like them all on the community board. Recently, somebody asked for a political forum. Another person asked for a pets forum. If we keep breaking stuff down into separate forums, it would be a pain to keep jumping back and forth to find what you want to read.

I prefer it all in one spot. I can just scroll down and quickly see what I like and scroll right over what doesn't interest me. Going to page 2, 3, 4 or even 5 is still much easier than jumping to the p&pd forum, then to the political forum, then to the pets forum. Then to the lovelorn forum. Then to the :cloud9: forum. Then to the tv show forum. Then to the "My Kid's Teacher Stinks" forum.

It would take forever to manuever around.

BTW - there is this amazing little feature on your screen. On the right is a little rectangle sitting in a longer, lighter gray rectangle with arrows on both ends. If you just grab that little rectangle with your mouse and pull down on it, you will scroll right on past the threads that don't interest you.

I would like a forum entitled "Only Threads That Interest Oxfordcircus."

There are so many forums and sub-forums now there aren't enough hours in the day to read them all - and respond to the ones that are of interest..

I just scroll past anything that doesn't interest me..

So, it's ok that they are ignoring protocol, which would be posting in the correct forum, because it gets them more attention?

Is it ok to post parks forum questions here? How about DVC questions? The mods have obviously created a forum for this topic, and that's the right place to post.
