I am writing this message from the Hospital waiting room. Sat night my DD (5) fell from the monkey bars at a play area, she broke her arm at the elbow. She is just out of surgery where they had to put 3 pins in her arm. We are scheduled to go to Disney in a week. Keep us in your thoughts that she is up to our trip.

Thank you so very much for all of your thoughts and prayers.

She is doing so good. Matter of fact she is doing better than I am with all of this. I am standing in the Emegency room with her and she looked at me and said "Mommy, why are you crying, I am going to be okay". I love her more than life, and just wanted to take the pain away for her. It broke my heart to see her like that. Well she did end up with 3 pins in her elbow for about a month.

She asked if we were still going to Disney for vacation. I told her "OF COURSE WE ARE". So that made her feel alot better. She told all the Dr.'s and Nurses that she was going to Disney in a week.

I told her that I told all of my Disney Friends what happened to her and that they were going to keep her in their thoughts. She asked me to tell them Thank you from her. So THANK YOU!

At least you will have the "remember when we went to Disney with your broken arm" stories to tell, if you do go. I went to WDW four weeks after my DD 6 had her appendix out, and we got her a stroller so she didn't have to walk so much. If you can go, you may want to do that so she can rest, as I bet she will be wiped out from surgery.

While I do not pray, I will think good thoughts for your little girl. I once had emergency surgury on my ankle and have a plate in it. I'm sorry about your trip :(.

:( Poor little thing. Saying a prayer that she feels better soon and I'm sure, no matter what, she'll make that trip and have fun.

:hug: What better way to recover from surgery than with a trip to WDW! I hope your DD has speedy, easy recovery and that y'all enjoy your trip!

Ouch!!! And as skuttle said above, a great way to start after her fall and take her mind, and yours, off of it. My best, she is in my prayers.

I will keep your daughter and your family in my prayers. :hug:

Good wishes going out to your DD! I think Disney is just what the doctor ordered!! ::yes::

Wishing your child all the best and no pain. I hope that you have a super trip. :)

WDW will work wonders - I'm sure your DD will know how to overcome the cast by the time you travel. Children are sooooo resilient.

Have a wonderful trip::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

WDW is perfect therapy, She will probably have too much fun to think about her injury. Have a great trip.:D Will the characters be able to sign her cast?

Thoughts and prayers for your little ones quick recovery!!
