i should know the answer to this but don’t: we book FPS next Monday and I always break out in an anxiety rash as this date approaches. We’re going with DD’s family, first time essentially for SIL and for the their two little girls. I’ve tried to involve them in every step of the planning and it’s been fun to do that!

The last big piece of the puzzle is booking fast passes and the little ones have narrowed their choices pretty well. So I now know I have priorities to pursue when the booking window opens next week. But despite my veteran experience I always get nervous as the date comes nearer. The tiers throw me, other “rules” crop up to narrow my choices. I don’t really know how to add in the rides we couldn’t fast pass into a reasonable touring plan.

I’d feel better if I went onto MDE some days BEFORE the actual permissible time so I can reacquaint my experience with the process and smooth out my actual planning with some practice “rounds?

Are you asking if there's a way to practice? If you have park tickets as part of a package, then no. If you have park tickets separately, then you can go on and book FP for any time in the next 30 days, and then cancel them. You won't have the same availability as at 60 days, but you can go through the process.

I'm pretty sure it won't even show up until your actual FP date, so unfortunately, you can't practice. I was hoping to do that before our trip, too, but I couldn't.
It's not hard, though, you will be fine!!

I agree with all of this. If you did not book a package I would go into MDE and try to book a fastpass for everyone. This way you can make sure everyone is in there, their ticket is linked properly, etc.

In addition to the slightly lower price, being able to practice is one of the nice benefits of not buying tickets as part of a package.

I hear you, OP. I get that same anxiety rash - even when I practice. It’s kind of ridiculous - it’s vacation - but it feels a little stressful.

Well said. :thumbsup2

If their tickets are not part of a package, they can. If they are part of a package, then they can’t. Explained in the Booking Windows post of the FP FAQ.

Oops, we have always had a package, so I forgot it's different if your tickets are "stand alone."

That said, if you do have a package and you go in before your FP window opens, don't panic if it says weird things like some of your party doesn't have a ticket or whatnot. It will be fine once the window actually opens. It's enough to give you anxiety, though. LOL.
