"Practically Perfect In Every Way!" Grand Floridian-Oct 2008*New 12/23 Our Last Day:(

Haha, no but she tries sometimes :rotfl:. But my sister has a 2 year old and they live with us so my mom likes to get her Hanna Anderson and Jack and Janie clothes and dress her up in them. Jessica loves it.

I knew she would try:rotfl: Thats my kind of girl:thumbsup2

It's Magic Kingdom day!!! We were really excited, so after a quick breakfast, we were off to the dock at the GF to take a boat ride to the MK! My in-laws had decided to sleep in because they were still tired from all of our walking at EPCOT--and we did A LOT of walking!!

For those of you who are keeping up with the kid's outfits, today Abby was wearing a Cinderella dress and Aiden had on his Prince Charming short-all! I got lots of nice comments about them--I loved pairing the two characters together! Here are some pics of our boat ride..

The weather was very beautiful. It as overcast with plenty of pretty blue sky peeking out! Once we arrived at the MK, we checked in our bags and cards, then we were off! I just loved the fall/Halloween decorations! Here are a few of my favorites..

If you look closely at that last one, you can see that they made the mickey decoration by filling it with tiny real pumpkins! AMAZING!

Well, this was it! We entered the MK and I took this next pic---my favorite landscape pic from the trip! I think it really represents all that is great about MK!

disney217-1.jpg

We began to walk down main street. It was so incredible! The smells of cinnamon in the air, the music echoing, the castle! Now that is what life is all about, right?!!!:cloud9: It was one of the best moments in my life (aside from my wedding and the birth of my children!!!)

We then got a PHOTPASS pic. I will post the pic but excuse the quality as it is a "picture of a picture" b/c I did not buy the C.D.!:confused3 And of course...Aiden was sleeping (go figure!?)

Abby had seen many of the children with balloons around WDW. She really wanted to get one, so we went up to a vendor and she picked the clear balloon with the pink mickey. Just when the vendor went to grab it, a gust of wind came and the balloons flew down onto my DH:rotfl: It was really funny and hey...I got it all on camera!!!:rotfl2:

After marveling in the castle, we were off to Fantasyland!! Of course, our first stop was DUMBO. Our little Prince Aiden decided to wake up just at the right moment! Hi Aiden!

We had a blast riding DUMBO! Of course, I have to say it was a challenge to take pictures and also make sure my 11 month old did not fall out of our DUMBO, but I got a great shot and the ride was totally worth it!

disney228.jpg

Next, we went to Cinderella's Carousel. While Abby was riding it, Aiden and I waited for her to get off. Then, something strange happened. I had put a sticker that a CM gave Aiden on his stroller for safe keeping. I thought it would be a cute picture to remember the day, so I snapped a shot. When we got home, I downloaded the pics and this is what it looked like...

disney243.jpg

Do you see the Mickey shadow behind the sticker?!! Now, my DH says that it was probably a ride or a figure that was behind me but I chose to believe that it was nothing but pure Disney Magic:wizard:

We then went on Winnie the Pooh (loved it!) and my in-laws called and said they were in the park. We saved Peter Pan and Small World for them to ride with us b/c they are their favorites! We loved both of them sooo much!! Here are some pics..

We then got some lunch at The Pinocchio Village Haus. It was good---standard chicken nuggets, etc. Afterwards, we played in the Pooh Playground and then headed off to Toon Town--

We saw Minnie and Mickey's houses. SOO cute! Abby wants to live there :lovestruc

We then got a refreshing snack of watermelon and pineapple at a place across the street. The train pulled up, so we decided to get on and ride it to Frontierland for another one of my firsts---Riding a Rollercoaster!! I know, I live a sheltered life :rotfl2:

**UP NEXT---Will I chicken out or bite the bullet and just ride already!

Glad for the update. Really cute outfits again. I know I've said it before your children are adorable. So far it has been a better day for you and that is a good thing. We did none of those rides this time. With the youngest being 10 and five foot tall it kind of takes the enjoyment out of them. I missed them though and I remembered the first time we went when my girls were 3 and 5 and what joy we shared. Golly, I'm even old and can remember all of that. Hopefully they have too. They sure did talk a lot about the previous times we went this time so they must remember something.

Great update, Katie. You're right those outfits are so adorable! I vote on disney magic for the shadow!

My 2 girls (ages 14 and 5'7" and 5'8") were upset that we didn't go on any rides in Fantasyland except Mickey's Phil. and it's a small world (Dad helped build this ride at the NY world's fair in '62? and met Walt Disney) last year, so they said "WE ARE GOING TO FANTASYLAND FIRST AND RIDE ALL OF THE RIDES!" I guess they are still 7 years old at heart!

Hi Katie - Katie here! :rotfl:

Great posts so far! And your kids are DARLING...so sweet!! I can't wait until I have kids and can experience WDW through their eyes! :lovestruc

Such a cute trip report so far!!

I have to tell you I love the in-law comments! We brought my MIL w/ us last trip (everyone, including my DH told me it was a mistake but I was trying to be nice!). We wont be doing that again! It was very nice of you to smile and nod! I wish I had done a TR because like you I have some funny stories but I hadnt found this part of the board yet.

Anyway, look forward to hearing more! Oh and LOVE the kids outfits!!! Too cute!

Great updates on Epcot and the start of your MK day! Those outfits are fabulous! The balloon pics are great and I love the Hidden Mickey behind the stroller....definitely Disney "magic"! :goodvibes

I hope you rode Thunder....popcorn::popcorn::

Yea~! Another vote for Disney "magic"!:cool1: Thank you for the compliment on the outfits. I wish I could take credit for them, but I got them made! I came up with the character ideas though. That counts for something, right:rotfl: I will update tonight with MK/PART 2! Thanks for reading!

Oh wow, Katie!! Great update! I LOVE the kids outfits!! Soooo cute! LOVE the Dumbo pics and that shadow is definitely some Disney Magic. I saw a Mickey head as soon as I scrolled down to that pic! WOW! Can't wait to hear if you ride the roller coaster!! :goodvibes

Choo Choo! We jumped on the MK train from Toon Town heading towards Frontierland! Because there is no room on the train, you have to leave your stroller so we unloaded and left our double stroller behind. Once we arrived in Frontierland, we were suppose to be able to just pick up a new double stroller upon getting off, but all the doubles were taken, so we were forced to take a single. Kind of a bummer! I am sure we could have found a CM and made an issue out of it...but I had a roller coaster to ride!!

My in-laws took the kids to Liberty Square while Chris and I boarded Thunder Mountain! I was a little nervous, but overall pretty excited. **If you did not read Part 1, this is my first time on a coaster!** I loved the ride! It was a little jerky but I really enjoyed the theme. I think that is what makes Disney rides so enjoyable! It feels like you are watching a show and riding a ride. We walked to Liberty to meet the in-laws and the kids. They were at the Christmas Ornament shop. We went in and bought a couple of ornaments to remember the trip. Abby got a Cinderella, I got a Castle and then we got a Mickey Ear with "2008" written on it by hand. We decided this should be a tradition every year. I was real surprised how much I liked Liberty Square! I did not get enough time to tour it, but can't wait to go back!

The day was winding down and we had dinner ADRs at Ohana! So, we decided to call it a day and go back to the Resort to get dressed. The afternoon show in front of the castle had started, so I got a quick shot of that.

disney309.jpg

On our way out, we had to make one quick stop! It has always been a dream of mine to get the kid's Mickey hats...so we went to The Chapeau to make them! While we were choosing the hats, Chris and Aiden went into the candy shop and bought some yummy peanut butter and chocolate fudge to bring back to the room. So good:thumbsup2

Abby took her task very seriously and ended up getting a pink hat with white ears and a princess vail added.

Aiden got the traditional black.

We got both of their names monogrammed on the back.

As we were leaving the MK, we were all super excited about our dinner!! I had read such great things about it and was really looking forward to a dinner to remember!

UP NEXT: Ohana! "Wait what!? You don't have my reservation?!":scared:

Great update! I'm so glad you liked Thunder Mountain - it is my favorite disney ride (that, and Peter Pan)!!! And you hit it on the head...it's all about the theming! :goodvibes

Those hats are precious! And the last picture with the balloon....and the ears.....and your little girl....ahhh...that's what it's all about, right? :cloud9:

Can't wait to hear about 'Ohana! We loved our dinner there! :cool1:

What a wonderful update. So glad you rode BTMR. Now you know I don't consider it a real roller coaster so now that you are an adult you must move on up to the big ones. Hey, if I can do it you can do it. :goodvibes Love the children's hats. That picture of Abby is wonderful. You can see the joy of the day in her smile. Love the castle picture. Who doesn't love that first site of the castle? I love the outfits too. As I have told you before. I really enjoyed while we were there seeing all of the little one's in their special outfits that mom's had them dressed in. You could see in their eyes how they felt just being a part of what is Disney.
